KPH is a pro-life organisation – We will not euthanase any animals if they can be healed and have a healthy, pain free, happy life. As most animals come from disadvantaged backgrounds, many require extensive veterinary care. Every animal also receives standard health care – vaccinations, de-worming, flea control and sterilisation. Our monthly veterinary bills average R40,000 - R50,000 per month. S
ince 2007 until June 2010, we have homed and sterilised a total of 2646 animals and have independently sterilised 641 animals from underprivileged areas.

Summer asked that we share some booootiful photos on how absolute lovely she is looking 🥰
It’s been a week and a bit since Mommy dog Summer’s Bilateral Double Entropian Surgery and her recovery is right on track so far 😍 It was so heartwarming seeing her beautiful eyes properly for the first time, it definitely brought a tear (or 2) to our eyes 🥹
She has a check up with the vet this week and we will then hopefully do an in depth update on how well her recovery is going and when we can start looking for that special forever home for her 🏡💗

• Puparoo Eclair made her trek all the way to KwaZulu-Natal to join the Steenkamp family. We see days filled with endless snuggles and pay for her 😍
• Kitty Marie Purrie went home with the Caldwell family. Her teeny body cannot wait to soak up all the kitty kisses and head scratches she possibly can 😻
• Teenage kitties Kira & Goldie found a family who saw their potential and have given them a chance at blossoming into the puurfect lil souls with the Oosterlee family 💟
• Big boy Hank joined the very excited Riekert family. His family also drove from Free State to meet him and fell hopelessly in love with his precious lil pawsonality just as they knew they would 🫶🏼
• Mommy Cat Mona & her baby Leesa went home with the Van Heerden family. They were lucky to find a forever home together and are going to have the best bond for all their days 💙
• Special boy Puurrrrrrrrrcy was adopted by the Engebrecht family. We know for a fact that his purrry self is going to demand all the love all day errrr day 😹
• Adult doggo Winston joins the Rod family. He’s already crawled deeply into the hearts of his new peeps and taking full advantage of all the loves 🥰
• Adult kitty Kelsie stole the hearts of the Raath family. We couldn’t be happier that this girl is now in a home where she can feel safe and know she is loved beyond words ❣️
