KPH is a pro-life organisation – We will not euthanase any animals if they can be healed and have a healthy, pain free, happy life. As most animals come from disadvantaged backgrounds, many require extensive veterinary care. Every animal also receives standard health care – vaccinations, de-worming, flea control and sterilisation. Our monthly veterinary bills average R40,000 - R50,000 per month. S

ince 2007 until June 2010, we have homed and sterilised a total of 2646 animals and have independently sterilised 641 animals from underprivileged areas.

❗️💛 Binky Update 💛❗️

Our hearts were shattered into a thousand lil pieces today when we were told that unfortunately the Femur Fracture Repair and Rehabilitation did not go according to plan and that sadly she will have to have her leg amputated 😢💔 Regardless of all the extra love and care and all the check ups and rehabilitation, her nerves did not regain full feeling and therefore the decision had to be made to rather amputate her leg in order for her to be able to fully be the happy and loving doggo she is 😣

We are so very heartbroken for her and we so desperately wanted the Fracture Repair to work to know she has been given every and all chances at simply being a doggo again but we are hopeful that this will be one last hurdle for this precious girl and that she is on the path of full recovery and finding a forever home she so truly deserves 🫶🏼💛

We are extremely grateful for every single person who donated to her first surgery and at giving her hope and a chance - she (and we) sends you all the love knowing we tried and believed in her 🥰 We also remain extremely grateful that she landed in our care so that we could give her all the help she needs 🐾 We can only imagine what would have become of her had she not 😓

If you are able to make a small donation towards her amputation we would be ever so truly appreciative and thankful - WE ARE NOT GIVING UP ON HER! ❤️‍🩹

A woofing THANK YOU to the Little Companions Mobile Grooming & Doggy Hotel team for coming through yesterday and providing some extra spa spoils and a much needed wash for some new intakes 🫶🏼 The team is always so compassionate and caring towards our dogs, especially those who are a lil more anxious when it comes to bath time ♥️

There’s nothing better than some doggo snuggles and kisses… EXCEPT for some doggo snuggles and kisses from a CLEAN and FRESH smelling doggo 😉🥰

Happiness is adopting a rescue dog or cat whose life you know you have just changed! ♥️ Thank you for opening your hearts to a rescue!

• The Cook family made our week when they adopted lovely pup Dolly. She has found the best home to finish her recovery in 🥰 We are beyond happy for her! Have the best life sweety!

• Cutie Houdini joined the de Beer family. He is looking forward to a lifetime of special moments growing up with his new lil friend 🩵

• Kitties Tara & Timmy were lucky to be adopted together by the Stanley family. The excitement was real so we have no doubt they are going to be super loved 🫶🏼

• Kitty Domino, after being found in the engine of a car at found his furever home with the best family possible. He’s going to have an absolute ball with all his humans 😻

• Theodore, after stealing thousands of hearts, stole the heart of the Rattan family. His new doggo friend Puggles cannot wait for all the fun to start 🥺

• Floofy boy Alvin was snatched up by the Roos family. He’s oozing with excitement to soak up all the snuggles and kisses and alllllll the play with his new doggy friend Kai 💙

• Mommy dog Panda had her day and joined the Daniels family. She’s already blossoming in her new home and is going to have the best time with cuties Zandee & McGee 💗

• Busy body Cha-Cha joins the Lotter Dogru family. Her joining the family has been the most exciting thing to happen for her new lil hooman friend 🥳 We love to see kiddos so excited!
