📢 Important Update: Banana Chips Shortage Impacting Nature's Nest Products

Dear Nature's Nest Family,

We wanted to let you know about an important update regarding our products. Due to a significant national shortage caused by the ongoing banana pandemic, we are currently unable to procure banana chips in South Africa. This affects our ability to include banana chips both as a singular snack and as part of our Avian Deluxe mixture.

What This Means for You:

🍌 Avian Deluxe Mixture: Some of our Avian Deluxe products will be sent out without banana chips. Rest assured, the overall quality and nutritional value of our mixtures remain uncompromised.
🍌 Banana Snack: Our standalone banana snack will be temporarily out of stock on our online shop until we can secure a reliable supply.

Why Is This Happening?
The current shortage is due to Fusarium wilt, or Panama disease, which has severely impacted banana crops worldwide. This disease affects the Cavendish variety, the most widely consumed type of banana. The soil-borne fungus causing this disease can remain infectious for decades, making it challenging to manage and control.

At Nature's Nest, the health of our feathered friends is our top priority. We will not compromise by purchasing low-grade banana chips to include in our food mixtures or snacks. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards for all our products.

We understand this may be disappointing news, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are actively exploring alternative solutions and will keep you updated as the situation evolves.
