Pekin Bantams RSA We are based near Johannesburg, RSA, and are breeders of fine quality Pekin Bantams in various rare Emphasis is placed on type and adherence to breed standards.

We specialise in breeding purebred Pekin Bantams in rare and unusual colours. Genetic material in RSA is extremely limited, with very few quality birds available. I am now on 2nd & 3rd generation of my own breeding and am very happy with the results - onward & upward and continually looking to improve our already quality birds. I am pleased to have been the 1st to breed / create some of the really

rare and unusual colours, which, while not recognised in the SA Pekin Bantam standards, ARE internationally accepted colours in many other breeds. Some of the colours we have:

PLEASE NOTE: photos of our birds taken directly from free range to be photographed for identity / information. They have not been show prepped and are often in various stages of moult so may be missing feathers or they may be sand / grass stained. Private message me for any info on Pekins you are interested in. We usually have growers and 1st year pairs for sale, all TOP quality, healthy stock. Birds will be held in good faith for 48hrs only after full payment thereof, at purchaser's risk. Upon collecting your birds, please check each one properly as you will be required to sign off on each one. Livestock is sold voetstoets and we cannot be held responsible for the care of birds after they leave our property. A detailed care sheet is available in the 'Notes' section of this page, and I can be contacted any time via email, WhatsApp or FB PM for advice or information. You're welcome to share photos you see on this page, but no copying unless full credit is given to owner / breeder incl the country of origin. Anything else is copyright theft! We breed Silver Duckwing, which are very similar to 'wild type' Silver Partridge. Our birds are extremely typey and have luxurious feather quality.

Uses for Pekin eggs #17: Real, homemade custard! No preservatives and no tartrazine needed, it's all natural!! The yellow colour is from the 20 orange-yolked eggs used to make 3L of custard, which in turn is used to make home made ice cream.

Photos don't do justice to the iridescent quality of their feathers & colour. Blue Buff Columbian and Blue Lemon Columbian are in my top 5 favourites. Hens often lighter in colour than roosters overall, showing lots of contrast between neck and body. Roosters tend to have darker wings and lighter chests and body.

Lavender cockerel and pullet. The pullet has just started to lay however the eggs are infertile as I don't keep males and females together until I decide to breed and I don't incubate first clutches and sometimes second clutches. Rather let them sit on another hen's eggs.

Lavender, Silver Pencilled Partridge, Lemon cockerel ~ 11 to 16 weeks. Moulting quite heavily now and nearly lost all the chick colouration and pattern.
