Cape Town - Meet CHEEKY!

Not living up to his name at all. This 2 year old boy is, well yes a busy active fellow but by no means cheeky and is honestly quite the gentleman. Who loves spending time with you and is such a natural in front of the camera, sitting and smiling like a pro. Especially if there is a delicious treat reward involved.

Not Arnold Schwarzenegger built in the muscle department, our guy is more a 'but have you seen my perfect pecs' kinda pooch 😆 Weighing in at around 20kgs only, means his adventure ready...hikes, walks etc his sooo in!! Cheeky would need to be the only adventure partner in your life but he has so much give, and he gives it all completely. FYI - huge fan of a good cuddle session.

Found in Mitchells Plain as a sad and lonely stray, we think now is his time for a bit of happiness, can that be with you?

Building relationships with animals can also offer opportunities to build motor skills and engage in learning about the natural world.

In my experience as a father, and as supported by research, animals play a profound role in children's emotional development. They foster sensitivity and empathy, offer comfort and solace, and provide a trusted and non-judgmental space for kids to share their secrets and feelings - often things they might not feel comfortable sharing with adults.

Animals hold a special significance, and most adults acknowledge their importance. They not only spark cognitive curiosity in children, but also elicit powerful emotional responses. Who can forget the unbridled delight on a child's face when they spot a pet?

Why are all successful animated movies centered around animals?

Whatever form a child’s love for animals takes, it’s obvious that animals are very special to children.

Some children are more forthcoming about their love than others.

Some children have lots of favorites, and others limit their love to just one or two.

What seems to be universally true is that just about any child you ask will be able to tell you something he loves about animals.

Ask a shy child what her favorite animal is, and they will open up right away. Children love to tell stories about their own pets, animals they’ve seen in the wild, special memories of a favourite pet, and other meaningful events. This alone tells us something basic and simple: animals are important and special to children.

It is our responsibility to teach kindness to our children, how to responsibly handle and care for them, how to behave around them.

And that extends to all animals.

Cape Town - 7 year old DRAKE quite honestly has the sweetest, softest nature and love in unconditional abundance to give his family, the only thing bigger than his big beautiful smile, is his big and even more beautiful heart!
