I'm Doris, known as one of the more reserved cats around, often found perched or napping on the higher beds. However, in recent weeks, I've begun to emerge from my shell and I'm confident I'll thrive in a home setting. Initially, I wasn't fond of being petted, but now I find it quite enjoyable. My coat is thick and soft. I believe I would still prefer a tranquil home with someone who has the time and patience to help me fully adjust. A calm, mature family would likely be ideal for me. Our awesome HOWIE has been adopted! He found his forever home a few months ago and these photos are of his first arrival at his new home🥰 Him and his family are very happy and HOWIE has regular playdates with new doggie friends. This special boy was at HAWS for a year and a half and is so deserving of the wonderful life he has now. Thank you to his parents for giving him a home and lots of love💜

A couple of months ago the Barnard family adopted one of our Milkwood ferals and all worked out very well. They decided to get a friend and were torn between the male Milkwood sibling Brou and beautiful fluffy Heather. A tough decision but we are pleased to say they adopted both!. All have settled in well as you can see by the video. A happy outcome for all. Thank you Barnard family
