We have taken over from the ‘Cooking Bear”, famous, over the last decade, for its fish pies and excellent country fare. We hope to become known as a family restaurant, but one that caters to the gourmet’s desire for excellent cuisine; a safe, secure, kiddy-friendly environment, where parents can relax and enjoy a beverage and fine fare from Chester’s kitchen. Whilst visiting our ‘neck of the wood

s’, we invite you to enjoy the tranquil ambience of our lovely garden. Not far from here, you might pay a visit to the Nelson Mandela 1952 capture site, and go on to one of Africa’s highest falls that plunges one hundred meters on its journey to the Indian Ocean – The Howick Falls. In our valley are many pursuits ranging from beer brewing, beekeeping, cheese curing, chocolate making, as well as artifacts, African curios and pottery on sale. And so, while our main concern at ‘Gosh’ is nosh, we welcome you to a pleasant cultural experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
