A Yorkie's coat has a similar texture to human hair.

Yorkies are known for their long, flowing and silky coats, but this beautiful feature is also incredibly time-consuming to care for. Because the coat is similar to human hair, it tangles into knots if the owner doesn’t brush it every day. The bonus is that Yorkies don’t have an undercoat so their coat doesn’t shed anymore than your hair does. Many breeders recommend that owners keep their pet Yorkies in a “puppy cut,” which is short and easily to maintain.

Before giving your Yorkshire or Biewer Terrier human delights, look at the following foods that dogs should never eat:

• Chocolate – it contains caffeine that can lead to vomiting, dehydration, abdominal pain, muscle tremors, irregular heart rhythm, seizures, and death.
• Nuts - it has a high fat content that can irritate dogs' stomachs.
• Cooked chicken bones - the bones are brittle and splinters when a dog chews them.
• Leeks, Onions, and Garlic - it injures red blood cells in dogs and that leads to Anemia.
• Dairy - most dogs are lactose-intolerant and eating this can lead to a variety of stomach issues.
• Bacon and White Bread - it contains loads of fat (and bread a lot of sugar) that can lead to pancreatitis (an inflamed pancreas that functions incorrectly).
• Grapes and Raisins - it causes rapid kidney failure in dogs.
• Coffee – it acts like a stimulant in dogs and causes an increased heart rate, panting, heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, tremors, and seizures.
