URGENT APPEAL
Last night was a breaking point for us and as much as we desparately try to have faith that a home will come for these beautiful dogs, it seems that their fate has come to an end.
People who know us (and no doubt we will be judged on social media by keyboard warriors and even those in rescue) will know we never give up, but we don’t really see a way out.
We have been trying for over a year to home this bonded pair, with no joy in finding a home.
Tiny and Charlie (Africanis) have had two homes:- at no fault of their own- their first home, family immigrated and their second home, their owner passed away.
Roxy and Lady have also had two homes:- at no fault of their own- their first home, family immigrated and their second home, their family were evicted from their home.
Here we even took in Rex who was adopted.
Last night, the kennel owner contacted us with devastating news.
A complicated story, but funds been paid to her by the owner of the property have been withdrawn due to our dogs been assisted and given a lifeline.
The kennel owner, an elderly lady has an amazing heart and passion for dogs, but reliant on this funding to survive.
So we have to remove our dogs. We have no where to take them. We are out of options!
We need financial aid to secure them for the remainder of this month and most likely next month. The kennel fee is R3000 per month.
The biggest BONUS would be an amazing HOME.
We cannot fail these dogs. They don’t deserve this. They are amazing dogs and it breaks our heart seeing them in these kennels. It’s not a life for them, but rather a lifeline. Even that has now come to an end!
We have reached out to rescuers in other provinces for help, but animal welfare is tough at the moment.
So in a nut shell and this is the part where we will be judged, we will need to make a call.
We are between a rock and a hard place!
This is are urgent appeal asking for assistance, immediate action to help two bonded pairs who deserve the opportunity of a second chance in finding a better life and a good home.
We just pray and hope that someone will opening their hearts and home to one of these pairs.
To adopt, current pets need to be sterilised and fully vaccinated.

This is exactly why we need a permanent home for our rescues. We started a backabuddy 7 months ago and only raised a small amount of money. We still have a long way to go.
