Firstly a huge Thank You to everyone who have donated to help Stevie & Layla.

Layla has recovered well from her operation and we do feel very positive that her incontinence has been sorted . Her total expenses have been R9595.50

Our Stevie boy is blossoming and growing in leaps and bounds every day, He is coming out of his shell and playing up a storm with another female Golden. He is an inquisitive guy and not letting his eye hold him back. As you can see from the photo he does still have discharge from his eye (all expected with the fistula tract and we put eye drops in his eye and also wipe it often. (My fault that I did not wipe before taking his photos!)
His expenses so far has been R6787 which includes vet visits and kenneling.

You guys have helped us raise a whopping R23823 Taking off the expenses so far we are short R4559 to be able to have his operation done - which we hope will be R12000 and not more.

We have some amazing news to share ! 😁

Gareth from A Floor of Dogs will be spending a day at our shelter on Monday the 20th Feb between 10-2🥳

Gareth is an amazing trainer and behaviourist who not only has a huge involvement in Happy Yappers, but also many other rescue organisations. His work and drive has transformed many dogs that have passed through our hands. Gareth will be teaching and demonstrating basic training skills for us to train and improve the discipline of our more challenging arrivals.

Gareth has also recently opened up a mobile grooming business and has offered to spoil 15 of our shelter doggies🤩 What an incredible donation! 🥳

We will be opening this day up to the public! 😁 Come along and absorb all the knowledge Gareth has to share with us and spend a morning with 117 shelter dogs 🐶

We will be having a small picnic with refreshments after all the fun and excitement 🧺
