Goodmorning petparents🤗

It is that time of the year and sadly many pets go missing over the holiday season. They are sometimes not prepared for the stranger "pet sitter" to look after them or they escape from catteries/kennels...and mostly also over New Year with fireworks. It always helps to have a preparation session for them before you go to prepare them and tell them that they are not being abandoned. Please keep your animals safe. I am not closing over the festive period and will be available to contact for sessions.

Keep your babies safe, and also when travelling with your pets please ensure that they have car seat belts on and identikits/trackers. I have also worked with many pets that went missing after car accidents and running away on walking trials after rabbits, etc..

Do not let your rest period become the most stressful period of your life.

It is stories like these that make this difficult and emotional work worth it. Thank you Jesus for helping me with this work and for helping Tom to get back safely. Just like us animals also have their own assigned guardian angels that help and protect them finding shelter and food. God loves his animals just as much as He loves his people.

Trigger warning....not for sensitive viewers!!!

As you all know, a donation of all the session fees, gets donated to animal rescue organisations. I also have a small Animal sanctuary" Skarmunkels" at home that we look after 21 rescue animals. 6 cats, 5 horses, 2 dogs and 8 goats.
The newest addition to the sanctuary is an Arabian Maré rescued from severe abuse of neglect, cruel riding methods and a very bad wound. I was on a rescue mission for 2 days with her as she was standing on a farm not accessible all the way by vehicle and with her only being able to hop on 3 legs trying to get her to the horse box it was a time consuming mission. I am exhausted but Tahoma her new name (Native American meaning the giver of fountains) is safe now and will live her life out in our sanctuary forever. Hope she brings fountains of rain to our new property that has a water shortage. A special thanks to our amazing vet Zelna Steenekamp and BraveHearts Outreach For Children that helped with the rescue mission. Stories like these keep me going. Every missing animal that gets found, sick animal that gets healed or behavioural issue that gets sorted feels like a Christmas day to a kid to me. It is a tough job and heartbreaking when God has other plans and a pet doesn't get found but all I can do is trust because I know He loves his animal children just as much as us. This is not a job, this is my calling🪽🪶🕊️🐾🦋
