Heartbreaking!

Another case that is just so heartbreaking.
I saw this poor boy at work a week ago. I could see that he was not well. Very skinny.
Robynne Greyling generously borrowed me her trap.
I tried for a few days to trap him without success but on Monday afternoon I managed to trap him. I used tuna, he was in so much pain that he couldn't eat the dry food and the tuna was his last meal 😞
He was so dirty, smelly and his mouth drulling. I took him to the vet, but because it was so late, he was kept in hospital until today when I received the dreaded call. FIV positive, mouth sores, and teeth problems.
The unbelievably hard decision was made to put him to sleep. No more pain my boy.
What makes this just so sad, is that he didn't choose to become a feral cat. He also wanted a loving family with regular meals. Why are people still not sterilising? Why are only a handful of people willing to help? Why does this affect some people more than others?
I always had the idea that humans are supposed to take care of all creations? Was this a misconception?
I try and feed these cats, but over 400 is not possible with only 3 monthly sponsors! This is truly a losing battle.
Next time you see a cat, dirty and smelly, help him by phoning the SPCA 015 291 1088 don't just leave them PLEASE

This beautiful Siamese male was dumped at a vet in Polokwane with his sister. A lady took the male (Romeo) in but just to return him to the vet because he was attacking her cat.
Another lady took him in, and the same happened.
Now we have to try and make a plan...
We will be posting an interesting article about why this cat is fighting, it is actually very natural.
Again, urging a patient, experienced owner who is willing to take him in.
He is castrated, vaccinated.

How beautiful is this? These cats are all "in" the CP shelter. These cats were the only batch we managed to successfully homed here.
We failed to keep them inside and they started jumping over the fence. Later Leandri didn't even bother to close the gate, and these cats roam freely on a 8ha plot.
They all wait for Leandri EVERY afternoon like this.
As you can see, these cats are used to dogs.
When we receive a call for help with ferals, we simply can't home new cats here, as they will not be enclosed and will run away.
Thank you to Leandri for taking such good care of them. And thank you to each and every donation that helps us feed this crowd

This HEAVILY pregnant mommy was dumped..... And one of our long -time angels picked her up and took her home.
Between a rock and a hard place, what to do? Some say terminate pregnancy and others say don't play God and decide on life and death.
We could anyway not terminate as we have no more funds. So we would like to know if any person out there can take her in so she can give birth, where after we will try to find homes and sterilise the mommy.
I know it's a BIG ask, but our angel are still studying and do not have funds for food for mommy.
