These poor little puppies do not like at all being handled by their little master (joke).
Phoebus and Bacchus are cuddling with our son, while on the video Tara and Cheetah have learnt to come to me when I obviously call them.

Puppies update :
6 happy puppies still live together on the farm.
They are having a lot of fun with their "Mummy" and have started to show their character to the 2 other dogs of the farm.
4 of them are available for adoption :
- Phoebus (Sire - darkest one)
- Bacchus (Sire - the biggest boy)
- Vulcain (Sire - upright ears)
- Vesta or Cheetah ( I really cannot make up my mind about these two... if I could I would keep them both, but hubby already wants to keep Tara and we will not be able to keep 4 Malinois bi***es... So I leave it up to you!)

They turned 10 weeks on Sunday and are now officially ready for puppy class

Puppies have turned 9 weeks yesterday, and today was the day of their second appointment with the vet, for vaccination and deworming purposes.
Loading all 6 of them at the back of the bakkie has become kind of a challenge, but we all made it safe and sound. Their Dr was very happy with them.
Also in the puppies News:
After Bolo 10 days ago, Juno (Dame) has been "adopted" in a loving family last Friday. Thank you Maryke and Vernon, we wish you all the best with your new "baby" !
###x
We still have 1 Dame and 3 Sires available : Cheetah, Vulcain, Phoebus and Bacchus.
Do not hesitate to spread the word!

When Antwarpse Glamor meets Antwarpse Griot...

“Glamor” was born at Antwarpse Kennel near Johannesburg on the 2nd of June 2014, and joined our family in Wellington 8 weeks after that. As soon as we saw her, we renamed her Taiga, which tells more about her energy and fitness.

Since then, Taiga has been a member of the family, enjoying her new life on the farm, always ready to play. She was with us when we welcomed our first and second sons, and she has been absolutely fantastic with them from day 1, despite what babies can do to dogs (pulling her hair, stealing her food in her bowl while she is eating, planting their finger in her gums while she sleeps, etc...). She has never shown the slightest sign of aggressivity towards the kids, always been extra protective in the presence of strangers, the ideal family companion.

When taking responsibility to “adopt” a Belgian Shepherd Malinois, I knew that I would have to take time to train her properly, as these highly energetic dogs deserve to be taught how to best use the wonderful skills and aptitudes they were born with. However, life decided otherwise as I became a mother exactly at the time when she was ready for protection training, and my priority shifted inevitably. Despite that, she has always shown us unfailing loyalty and extraordinary agility.

We knew from a very early stage that we wanted to have puppies from her, because she was such a ‘good-hearted’ and clever girl. So I asked Agnes, from Antwarpse Kennel, if she knew a male with whom we could try and have Taiga mate. This is when we met John and his beautiful dark Griot (aka Roof).
