MEET MY HORSES



Hi everyone! I’d like to introduce you to my equine friends, Gina, Rudi and Elvis.



COCO RUDI

· Appaloosa

· Gelding

· 12 years old

· 15.1hh

· Loves jumping and playing

He was given to me as a 2 year old he was not schooled at the time only backed. He has a twin brother Steven. Never in my life have I ever delt with such a smart and dominant horse. He tested me in every way he could. He would pin his ears and come at me in the lunge ring, when I entered his stable at the riding school he would turn his bum and kick at me. When we boxed him he would rear up and run over me. Later on I was so afraid of him and he knew it. I was the only person not allowed near him. We contacted Malan du Toit a few times and he helped a lot. As the time passed I got to know him better and started to ignore his bad behaviour and showed him that I’m not afraid. To this day he still gets grumpy or irritable, as soon as that happens I ignore it, finish what I was busy with and walked away. I learned that the less I reacted to it the less he would try something. I did SANESA on him for three years and then we stopped competing. Now I ride him on the farm, schooling and also some liberty work . I trust him with my life .❤️
