Myth busters

Can a dog eat beans?

Beans can be part of a dogs healthy diet, they are rich in fibre and some protein too, dogs can have beans as a treat.

There are foods that are toxic like the
*onion family [ onion , garlic and chives ] they can cause gastrointestinal irritation and red blood cell damage which can cause anaemia .
*Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure in dogs
*Dark chocolate and unsweetened baking chocolate. Chocolate can cause a dog to vomit and have diarrhea.
*Beer, Wine, and Alcohol
Some people seem to think it's funny to watch their dog stagger around tipsy after giving them some form of alcoholic beverage. Not only can booze make your dog drunk, even small amounts can cause problems like diarrhea, vomiting, loss of coordination, problems with breathing, coma, and even death. The smaller your dog is, the more likely he is to have problems like these and the more serious they are likely to be. Etc

The best way to keep your dog healthy is to talk to his vet about what you should be feeding him/ her and make sure you are feeding a well-balanced nutritious diet. How your dog may react to people foods will vary greatly depending on his breed and size. While, in most cases, a small treat from time to time may not cause any lasting harm, your best bet is to keep certain people foods away from your Dog.

There is no good or bad dog. There are only dogs that behave in a certain way because of a specific reason. If your dog has a behavioral problem, we will find the reason and remove it to make sure that you and your doggie can have a relationship full of love and understanding.

DOGS X CHICKEN BONES

Myth: It is OK for dogs to eat chicken bones.

Fact: Chicken bones are one of the most dangerous food for dogs, mostly cooked ones.

The bones break into very sharp splinters that can hurt or pierce your dog's throat, stomach or intestines. The consequences can be fatal as the the broken bones can cause internal bleeding or blockage.
It is better to feed your dogs raw chicken bones but they still break in sharp pieces so if you care about your dog's health, avoid any poultry bones in his diet fine for dogs, as long as they are fed raw.

On the other hand dogs love chewing other bigger RAW bones such cow's shin bones or brisket bones. Raw meaty bones once or twice a week are an important part of your dog’s diet, because they exercise their jaws and clean their teeth. However, never feed your dog cooked bones. Cooked bones splinter and are difficult to digest.

❤ Urgent: HARLEY DESERVES THE MOST LOVING HOME ❤

Harley is looking for her loving forever family!

Harley is a 2 years old loving, playful, energetic and very sweet pittie girl. Her whole world is being around people who love her and she tries really hard to show them that she loves them back.

Unfortunately, since she was a little pup, she never really liked a company of other dogs. And that's the reason why she had to leave her family. We are quite positive that she would become a good buddy with a bigger dog that is younger than 1 year because she has been now boarding at the Showgrounds Vet for a while and she has managed to make some furry friends there. But when it comes to people, you cannot find a friendlier companion.

Harley needs a home where she will be loved as a family member, where she will have a garden with a very good fence but will still come inside to watch TV on the couch with her mommy or daddy. She needs her cuddles but she also needs a good walk to burn the endless energy. In return, she offers totally unconditional love, loyalty and so much fun!

We are looking for somebody with at least a little experience with dogs but who doesn't have an adult dog or a cat at the moment, and somebody who would be willing to open not just their door but also their heart to Harley.

Harley is spayed.

Note: Please don't call if you have a problem with a dog running and sleeping inside your house, if you don't have enough time for daily walks, playing and cuddling, if you would leave Harley home alone for most of the day because of work or of you don't have enough financial means to provide Harley with a very good nutrition, treats, toys and possible treatment of her genetically given problems that might show when she is older, since she is a pure breed.

Let me introduce you the real founder of our school - Rosie (or Růženka). Every parent claims that their child is extraordinary but when it comes to Ruzenka, everybody agreed that she was. She got this cool nickname Rockstar from her auntie. She wasn't afraid of anything in the world and she was the most loving person. This school carries her legacy to accept dogs as fully respected family members. We will bring you stories about Rosie from time to time because she is still a huge inspiration in our lives.
Here, 8 years ago, just after her arrival in Zambia, she discovered a new friend. And she would let him to climb all over her 😀
