We were alerted to this poor girl who’d spent at least hours soaking wet in the drainage. When we arrived she was barking weakly for help unable to move herself. We rushed straight to vet where she had a lovely chicken dinner. Unfortunately her examinations showed on top of being absolutely covered in ticks and fleas, pale and underweight she had the most horrendous mammary tumour. Heartbreakingly I made the decision to put her to sleep. I wish this was a video of her turnaround looking healthy and happy in the end but the only way I could save her was to let her go peacefully hoping that she felt my love at the very end. Even if it’s the right thing to do it’s never easy.
Mango and Mochi in their new home
Mango and Mochi looking very happy and adorable in their new home. They weren’t from our sanctuary but we were happy to help them finally find a loving forever home. Videos like this exemplify why we encourage kitten adoptions in pairs; makes for happier and healthier kitties.Thank you all who open their hearts and homes to a rescue. If you are unable to adopt fostering, sponsoring and volunteering are also just a few ways you can still help.Thank you ❤️
When your driving and see kittens (presumably dumped) run into a bush at the side of the road . I only saw one thank goodness there was a couple who told me there were three. At least they be safe and warm tonight from the incoming rains.
Saffy wags her tail
Good Morning from Saffy!Almost two weeks after she was found she can now wag her tail. So happy with her progress.
Weekends at the vet. This little cutie was brought to us yesterday by some local kids who said he was sick. Poor little one couldn’t even walk so we rushed straight to vet. Here was are on second day of treatment for both parvo and tick fever. It’s a lot for such a young pup to go through; and it’s a lot of work to give our rescues the round the clock care they often need but we do our best to give them a second chance.
Thank you.
Donating, volunteering, and fostering a rescue is a perfect way to give back and spread holiday cheer. Our Christmas Food Drive has begun at Loving Hands Vet in Leopards Hill Village where food can be left under the Christmas Tree. It’s our first time doing this and we are hoping for a big response to help our hundreds of sanctuary rescues and as many community pets as possible have a happy holiday season.
No bag of dog or cat food is too small!Thank you ❤️

Another two abandoned dogs now safe and sound at the sanctuary. Skinny, scared and cover in wounds; we can’t wait to see them transform physically and emotionally into the beauties they are.
Only 10 days left; spread the word and help us get our little rescues rehomed…

Our end of day checks to ensure everyone is healthy, happy, fed and ready for bed.Despite the fact that we have over 200 dogs at the sanctuary we don’t want our rescues to be overcrowded and stressed. Space is everything!
