Awesome experience doing this lion with hounds! The dogs loved it, and so did I!

As always, great thanks to the Blueticks in my life for doing such a great job. I'm not a houndsman without my Hounds 🙂

Thank you too to my fantastic team for putting up with our 3 am. starts, the dogs, and, of course, me 🤣. You have watched me grow up, and you still treat me like I might shatter, so thank you for keeping me alive!

Lastly, thank you to Guy Whittall, who was the PH in this scenario, for calling us out and running with us.

The hounds, the Trackers, and me are all geared up and ready for the season, so whether it's wounded or a pre-set safari, PM me! We're ready to go 😃

Unfortunately, on our last safari, we were just fillers while the houndsman who'd been delayed was late on getting in, so we're back home now, waiting for our own hunt to start.....

Fillers or otherwise, I must say, the hounds are looking good ❤️

It's official! Hunting season has kicked off, and the hounds, the Trackers, and I couldn't be more excited for it ✨️

Don't get me wrong, off-season was a blast all it's own, but it's time to get back to hunting so here we go....

Charlie Bean has officially entered retirement! With 5 solid years, innumerable wounded animals (especially leopards) and one lion behind her, it was time to take off the collar and let her free in the garden. No more kennels or 6 k runs or midnight leopard calls, and she has earned every bit of it!

Me and Remy are both SOOOO ready to start hunting again, so to curb her boredom while we wait the Blue Dog got a day on the ranch (which is really her just sleeping on the front seat in cool comfort while we dip in the hot sun, but anyways....)

To those of you who don't know, Re*****on was the first hound I ever had, my first pack leader, and is still one of my main dogs.

In hunting, you get good dogs, and then you get Top Dogs! She's never been anything but the latter 🙂

Basically, she may just be a hound, but she is so not just a hound.....she is literally the mother of 99.9% of African Hound Safaris, the dog that set my career path into motion, and the Best Friend who's been teaching more than I could ever teach her...

There are special dogs, and then there are Remys.
