Another lion in the salt and I'm starting to think the dogs are enjoying this way more than our usual spotted kitty cats!

Unfortunately, I have missed out on way too many hound runs this year because of other "work things" and I kid you not, the depression is real 😥

However, I could not be more grateful for how busy the dogs are and especially to my father who has done tragic hours and in the case of the cat above, had a rather scary chase to deal with. He was a houndsman long before me, though, and one hundred per cent still the OG.

Thanks also to the guys, Lusenga and Casper who do more than their fair share every time and who put the hounds first, because that's rule number one always.

Great thanks also to and for calling us out. It is always a pleasure!

Huge appreciation for Casper as well, because not only did he do his job, but he covered for Lusenga and Norman, who are, unfortunately, both on off 🤦‍♀️🤣timing, am I right? 🤣

And that’s a wrap!! Another awesome cat down with even more awesome dogs and, as always, a fantastic team on the ground…..

We picked this beautiful kitty’s track up early morning and after a run over, and over again, a rocky gomo we ended up in a glorious ground fight that spanned two caves and eventually a thicket of grass which kept it exciting indeed!

To the Trackers, the PH’s, the amazing clients and everybody involved in making a hunt come together, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Hunting is a team effort and it is a privilege to be able to chase my dreams and follow my passions with dogs that I love and Trackers that know me probably better than I know myself….

This is who we are!

So proud of the hounds and the guys coming together for this cat, especially since I wasn't there! Unfortunately, this call up happened while I was still on my way back from a different safari, but the hounds and Trackers were home.....to say I was heartbroken at missing out is a massive understatement, but I couldn't be prouder or happier about how it went...

Many, MANY thanks to the fantastic Ph's involved who fetched, looked after, and returned the dogs home when I couldn't and as always a massive round of applause for Casper, Lusenga, and Norman who showed up and ran the dogs and kept them all in one piece 🙂

Of course, can't write this without applauding the hounds too! Not to quote Taylor Swift, but you are the best thing that's ever been mine!
