Gun shots are incorporated into Spurs training. He did an amazing job! None of this happened by chance. The process involves a lot of hard work, training, and socialization. Building the foundation for a bird dog started when Spur and his siblings were a week old. Our litters are raised in an environment that is both busy and loud. Their life begins with a series of doors opening and closing, washing machines and dryers running, and the vacuum cleaner rarely turns off around this house. They are exposed to a lot of noises through this. When he first started eating solid food, dad taught me to start tapping on the side of the feed bowls. The tapping sound means good things (his food). The same thing with thunder storms, lots of good treats. Spur was able to handle the gunshots without a flinch. Gentry and Margo are doing excellent job training him.
Spur will receive the best training with the help of Gentry's grandfather, who has years of experience, knowledge, and a passion for hunting.
