Today and every day, we celebrate the beauty of nature and the land that connects us all. At The Royal Stables, we’re proud to teach our young students the importance of observing and caring for the environment. Our horses’ well-being always comes first. When they show signs of fatigue or no longer enjoy their work, we give them the retirement they deserve. Some continue gentle walks to stay fit and happy, while others fully retire depending on their needs. Every horse is different, and we honor their journey with love and care.

This year, one of our longest-serving horses in the royal stables, Marcel, will begin his retirement. Up until this year - despite his age - he was always the most active pony at the start of the season. But from now on, you’ll most likely find him enjoying garden rides or Pony Pals, taking life at a slower pace.

Meet Otto!

Otto arrived at The Royal Stables in 2022 from Australia, where previously he was competing in dressage and a little bit of show-jumping.

Our tallest horse that we have currently at The Royal Stables. Just mounting him feels like an Olympic event, however don’t let his height intimidate you because he is basically a big puppy-lovable, affectionate and always ready for scratches.

Otto is currently under training to advance his dressage career, where he has shown great talent and trainability. We can’t wait to see this gentle giant shine in the competition arena.
