The wonderful passion of Safya Al Mansoori advocating for animal welfare and highlighting the importance of humane, ethical and compassionate TNR programs for community animals. She is truly an inspiration and helping to lead our animal welfare initiative. If, like Safya, you would like to become a part of our program please get in touch. There are no barriers to helping animals and everyone welcome. Thank you Safya for all you do for animals here in the UAE - a real life ambassador for animal welfare.
Thank you to @cnn for the opportunity to spread the message of animal welfare and be part of the global solution in light of COP28.
A wonderful opportunity to showcase our feeding and sterilization programs to support community cats. The work of our collaborative partners is an inspiration to others. The programs have proven to be successful - not only are they a positive, effective and efficient solution for animal welfare but for the community as a whole.

I have witnessed first hand the most heinous intentional destruction of life unfolding in Al Falah. Hundreds of cats have been intentionally dumped in an area that cannot sustain life. An area devoid of water and food. Many cats and dogs are already dead or dying. I believe this to be the ultimate unmerciful intentional killing of innocent animals. The perpetrators must be bought to justice. This is not an isolated incident. We know all too well of other areas and malpractices yet many fear repercussions to speak up. I am aware of laws regulating speaking out yet when such innocent lives are at risk I cannot stay silent. Neither can the hundreds of rescuers who came from far and wide across the UAE to assist in this massive rescue mission. Their compassion and pure selflessness to save the lives of innocent souls knows no bounds. Their determination and ongoing perseverance has saved the lives of many of whom would have otherwise succumbed to a slow, painful death. Each day the death toll increases as time unfolds yet the rescuers do not stop. Each day a life is saved but for most it’s too late. The best you can do is to comfort the dying. It’s traumatic for all. Animal welfare MUST improve. Animals are being surrendered to entities / bred / sold, too young to survive / sick / given fake vaccinations / fake paperwork by businesses who exist for profit. This is totally unacceptable and MUST be stopped. Animals are not a commodity to be bought and sold. They are sentient creatures who feel emotions, pain and suffering. I truly believe this is NOT representative of the compassion of the UAE. We are an empathetic, compassionate, sympathetic and caring nation. I believe in transparency, respect and compassion for all living souls. To protect and sustain for our future generations. I am truly thankful to the BBC for their coverage of this situation. I hope it brings positive change to the lives of animals and rightful justice to the guilty. “With God’s will, we

I make no excuses for the gravity of this post. This is reality. What will it take to change the situation ? This is everyday suffering. As much as we at Animalia promote positive solutions for animal welfare there are occasions like these where I personally feel the need to speak out and can no longer be silent about the excuses of certain entities who contribute to the suffering of community cats / dogs / animals . I believe in honesty and transparency. This kitten was poisoned. Where is the justice ? Where is the law ? How is this accountable for ? in the judicial system ? It is not. This is not an isolated incident. I have personally witnessed the most heinous abuse of animals from so called ‘licensed’ entities yet powerless to intervene or report to obtain justice. Furthermore, I have personally witnessed community / pet cats / dogs being rounded up, taken away silently / dying in traps and / or end up being euthanized by so called no kill shelters. Animal welfare MUST improve. Animals are being bred / sold, too young to survive / who are sick / given fake vaccination paperwork by businesses who exist for profit. For this I am so incredibly proud of our young interns who continually promote goodness, compassion of heart and honesty for the protection of our animal species. They are true animal welfare ambassadors. They are our future. ❤️
