Anything you gonna eat in these end of year holidays is because of a farmer
Let's take a minute to thank farmers including me Naphtali

Farmers put in alot of efforts to make sure every household has food on table everyday; the breakfast, lunch, diner & supper

They practice sustainable & eco-friendly Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) to make sure other ecosystem & natural resources are protected from being endangered as well as producing health food that is good for human lives both fast foods & cash crops

These farmers were visited by extension workers according to the interview I had with them, they received and welcomed technologies, knowledge & skills, practiced what extension officers trained them to do & here they showcase their output

850 trees planted on our beautiful estate at Bulera farms-Hoima oil city along FortPortal road.

This initiative is part of Plant-It-Foward (PIF) challenged by farmlink Agri-Consult limited where we are steering farming & agribusiness related projects nationwide

The tree planting challenge was started in 2017 and we are ready to take it up forever

We don't only aim at getting money, planting trees is one of our GREEN INITIATIVE PROJECTS that leave our environment green, address current existential threat including Global warming that is threat to our lives & lives of our future generation

To my fellow Agricultural scientist & restless research join me in making interesting research about oxpeckers

These birds previous used to cling on animal mainly to spot off ticks & other parasites that lodge on mammalian skin of animals

have sharp claws that help them cling on fur of animals. In past, especially in Sub Saharan countries they were seen on animals pecking off ticks & other parasites but this time its not the case.

Due to modern technology in animals rearing that includes spraying, dipping & vaccination, they have failed to spot of parasites hence resorting to piercing skin of animals & suck blood. This is a huge loss to farmers
The pest are common in open grazing areas & target animal part where tail can easily switch!
