As the sun sets on the first day of the new year, we want to say a big thank you to all of our doggies, cats, dog and cat moms and dads of The Barking Lot for everything we have shared together in 2022 and we are so so so excited for everything that is to come in 2023! Today, the Barking Lot turns 6 months old ❤️As I take a moment to breathe during busy season to post this, I can't believe we have come this far.

We have built TBL from scratch. Brick by brick. All the while thinking about how best to cater to our doggies (and cats!).

Over these months, our Pack and our Care Crew have grown, but I will forever be grateful to my OG Care Crew who have stuck by me through all our ups and downs from before we even opened our doors. This one is for you, Miss Mau, Aldoy, Bobby, Tito and Marcel. I love you guys! ❤️

I'll never forget our first ever Daycare and Hotel guest, sweet little Piper and her moms Carys and Tiffany, who put their trust in us before anyone else did.

And to my darling hubby who simply said 'Let's do it!' when I told him it would be my dream to open a doggy daycare - thank you ❤️

I can't wait to see what the future holds for my beloved TBL and I'm so grateful for all the barks filling my ears as I write this 🙏🥰

Meet Kiko and Milo - these gorgeous brothers came to us from two beautiful, kind ladies who work tirelessly to help stray dogs and cats. They've been with us since July and are very much part of our TBL family.

We've been trying to help find them a home, but to no avail. And then came the BEST news ever - they have been adopted by a loving family in the US!!! We couldn't contain our excitement 🥳🥳

After a long journey, we're so happy to let you know that he has arrived at his new home and looks dapper in his little sweater. Milo will follow shortly and we can't wait to see them reunited.

It's been a long journey with these beauties and we had a Care Crew party to celebrate their time with us and all the adventures they are bound to have in their new home. It was a bittersweet goodbye and though there were tears, we are SOOO happy to have been a chapter in their story.

We miss you, Kiko. And we're taking the best care of Milo till he flies to join you, sweet boy ❤️

Meet Buddy - he's the cutest little boy and one of our absolute favourites! Buddy has endeared himself to all our Care Crew and our Pack and we're sure you can see why - just look at his little face! ❤️

He's always dressed to the hilt and ready to party with his besties 🥳

His sweet mama worries about him when he stays over at our Hotel because he tends to get anxious but our Care Crew is always eager to step in. At TBL, Buddy is hand fed and cuddled through the night 🙈❤️

We love this little boy and are so happy he's living his best life with us ❤️❤️❤️

Meet Toby ❤️ - This one is very special to me. Toby is a TBL regular and our first ever Mansion guest!

He was adopted as a naughty 6 month old by a looooovely couple and has a cat, Tasvy, for a brother 🥰

A regular joker, he always has us in splits with his antics, especially with his besties Pudding, Ruffles, Oreo and Winston. We love him so much and are so happy his mom badgered me (😂) before we even opened to see pictures and videos of this new facility. She probably helped us get across the finish line faster 😂❤️

Toby’s favourite is our Doggy Express driver, Bobby, to the point that we regularly refer to our van as our Bobby Express 🚌❤️

Toby will forever have a special place in our hearts and will most definitely always have Mansion 3 reserved for him ❤️

Meet Caju and Mandioca, the friendliest siblings, whose names are Portuguese for Cashew and Cassava ❤️

They were rescued by a lovely couple from the streets of Brazil and moved to Dubai, where they are living their best lives ❤️😍 Lucky them and luckier us for getting to spend so many happy days of play with these two cuties 🥳🥳

Meet our Halloween winner, Dupree! 🎃👻

Dupree is one of our regulars and the sweetest boy! He lost his eye tragically when he was attacked by a much bigger dog and went through three long weeks of surgery to try to save his eye. It was eventually removed, but don't please don't feel an ounce of pity for this champ! He licked his mama's tears away when she visited him at the vet and hasn't in any way let the experience dampen his spirit.

He dressed as a pirate for Halloween and we are obsessed! So many lessons to be learned from this darling boy. In his mama's words, his energy made them heal ❤️

We can't think of a more deserving winner of our first Halloween! We hope you enjoy your three free nights in our Mansion 🥳 We love you!

Pinch me! Four months in and we have been voted Favourite Doggy Daycare in the UAE at the Pet Industry Awards 2022.

As a new business owner, I know what they mean when they say it takes a village - in our case, it’s our beautiful and talented Care Crew who make our dogs (and dog moms and dads) happy every single day. We are nothing without them.

To our amazing clients, thank you so much for trusting us with your babies and for all the love you give us. We are nothing without you.

To my darling hubby who supports my dream every step of the way, thank you. I am nothing without you.

We've had an amazing day hosting and at their Rehoming Day ❤️ Lots of happy hearts and wagging tails.. It makes everything we do worthwhile, especially since our Bella came to us from an event like this.

Sooo guess what? This tiny, starving cutie was crying under our Doggy Express on Friday just outside The Barking Lot and we knew we had to do something......

We're having him vet checked and vaccinated and he will be our official house cat. We put his name to vote with our Care Crew and it's been decided.

Meet Batman - yes, you read that right! 😂❤️ He's the happiest little guy and it makes sense. He has the best mum!

She lost her dog tragically a year earlier and was still grieving when she got a call about this boy - starving and left to die in the desert! 😩 She knew it was fate. He needed her and she needed him. Lots of vet visits and TLC later, Batman is looking and feeling his best and we are super lucky to have him in our Pack!

He enjoys his naps so we worry he'll miss the Bat-Signal but with a face so cute, he's easy to forgive ❤️

Meet Juno - our absolutely gorgeous Border Collie mix who has lived in four different cities with her loving mum and dad.

She is a very young mum herself and was found roaming the streets in Brazil with her young puppies - which explains her name (from the movie, Juno!)

She is a lucky girl to have found her forever home with a beautiful couple who brought her all the way to Dubai, where her adventures continue. We're so happy to have you in our Pack, you stunner!

On Sunday morning, from 11am to 1pm, come down to the awesome doggy daycare and boarding facility, The Barking Lot in Al Quoz and meet some of our doggies and pups!

A range of age, sizes and personalities, we're sure to have the perfect match for your family!

Some will be looking for new foster homes, all are looking for their forever families.

Whilst everyone is welcome to come down and meet the dogs and pups, we STRONGLY recommend pre-filling the application to foster or adopt first - it makes everything so much simpler!

In case you're new to adopting or foster or just need a reminder, our simple process is as follows:

1. Fill the quick and easy form - it takes 5 minutes

2. Have a chat with our team over a Zoom call to understand if we have the right match for your home

3. Meet the dogs and pups

4. Start your trial adoption of 4-6 weeks or your foster period (4 week minimum commitment)

5. If adopting, we'll arrange a house visit to see how everyone is getting on

6. Complete adoption (1,500 AED adoption fee payable inclusive of vaccinations and neutering) or you've helped your foster doggy find their family
