The absolutely stunning Morgan truly is a travel extraordinaire, flying half way around the world with drama’s pretty much on every leg of the journey - each one taken in her stride 🐾

She and dad, Matt first flew to Toronto with Emirates. Despite a little confusion by the EK check-in staff insisting more paperwork was needed for travel (it wasn’t), the Pawsome Team handled the situation smoothly, firmly but politely correcting them and eventually we were waving them off.

Arriving in Toronto our colleagues Emily and Trisha of provided a dedicated meet and greet service, looking after Morgan during her layover and then checking Morgan in for the next leg of the journey, whilst Dad relaxed in the lounge. Well Morgan did the relaxing with Trish at their office, whilst Dad stressed over the multiple flight cancellations by Air Canada. Two or was it three? Plus delays on top. Finally, both on the same flight around five hours later than scheduled, they took off to Vancouver.

A night of jet lag (yep, pets get jet lag too) and the final leg of the journey by road, finally reaching home in Kelowna. And what a beautiful home it is.

Well worth the journey to be living in such a beautiful part of the world.

The team at Kabul Small Animal Rescue have achieved what most would consider impossible. 200 dogs and 100 cats, all on their way to Washington DC. Building their own crates from scratch, ensuring all have homes or fosters to go to, documents, vaccinations, blood tests, the list goes on. It’s hard to emphasise just how monumental this is. Words are not enough.

On from Washington they will head to their forever lives across the US and for some, later on, other areas of the world. Tracking their journey on flight radar - we are in awe!

Meet Maley, the courageous and lovable senior pup who recently took to the skies from Dubai to Thailand. Despite her age, Maley proved to be a true adventurer. With a heart full of bravery, she embarked on this long journey, eager to reunite with her beloved paw parents.

Maley’s journey started with careful preparations to ensure her comfort and safety. Her family made sure her travel crate was stocked with her favorite blanket. As the plane soared high above the clouds, Maley remained calm and composed, a true testament to her adventurous spirit.

Upon landing in the beautiful land of Thailand, Maley was greeted by our colleagues from . Her wagging tail and joyful barks filled the air as she reunited with her paw parents. The reunion was heartwarming, with lots of cuddles and kisses to make up for the time apart.

Maley quickly adapted to her new surroundings, exploring the vibrant streets and lush landscapes of Thailand. Each day brought new sights and scents, and Marley embraced it all with the same brave spirit that carried her across the miles.

Here’s to Maley, the brave-hearted pup who showed us that age is just a number when it comes to adventure and love. Welcome to your new home, Maley!

Securing homes for 300 cats and dogs, never mind flying them there from Kabul to the US is nothing short of a monumental goal, a goal that is nearly in sight thanks to Kabul Small Animal Rescue. With days to go to the deadline for making this happen they are nearly there. Seeing what these guys achieve, in spite of the obstacles they face daily, is awe inspiring 🐾

Stick a fork in it! All 100 cats and 200 dogs have placement, thanks to over 40 animal rescues and dozens of adopters.

Tomorrow we'll put together a full list of those rescue organizations partnering with us for this wild ride, so please continue to share the love and support, let's pay it forward. We are close to reaching our fundraising goal, so whatever you're doing, don't stop! We've raised enough to pay the remainder of the flight invoice on Friday, now chipping away at the costs of our CDC import procedures, due on the 28th. We can do this, no doubt. Kabul Small Animal Rescue are aiming to fly 300 dogs & cats out of Afghanistan 🇦🇫 on an airlift direct to the US, where forever homes are waiting for them. As many of our followers will know we have been supporting KSAR for a few years with their smaller moves. Whilst we aren’t actively involved in this move as it’s not flying via UAE, we have been behind the scenes a little.

We don’t often share fund raising pages but this one is just a little bit special.

Meet Buddy and Lily 🐱🌍✈️

With their tails held high and their whiskers twitching with anticipation, Buddy and Lily bid farewell to the familiar sights and sounds of Dubai. As they embarked on their journey, they were enveloped in a whirlwind of new experiences – from the hustle and bustle of the airport to the gentle hum of the airplane soaring through the skies.

Despite her initial shyness, Lily found comfort in Buddy's unwavering support and the caring hands of the airline staff. With each passing moment, her confidence grew, and soon she was peeking out from her carrier, taking in the wonders of the world beyond.

Upon their arrival at London Gatwick, Buddy and Lily were greeted with open arms by their Mum. The journey from Dubai to London had not only brought them to a new place but had also strengthened the bond between them. Buddy, the brave protector, and Lily, the shy sweetheart, had conquered their fears together, emerging stronger and closer than ever before.

🐾🌟 Nahla, Qitmir, and Talia, with their wagging tails and curious noses, began their journey with excitement and anticipation. Leaving behind the sunny shores of Dubai, they ventured into the unknown, embarking on an adventure of a lifetime. From the gleaming skyscrapers of Dubai to the charming lanes of London, their journey was filled with new scents, sights, and experiences.

Upon their arrival in London, they were greeted with open arms and warm hearts by the team at the HARC. HARC, known for their dedication to the welfare of animals, provided a safe haven for Nahla, Qitmir, and Talia as they acclimatised to their new surroundings. With cozy beds, nutritious meals, and plenty of cuddles, HARC ensured that the trio felt right at home despite being far away from their familiar Dubai.

But their journey didn't end there. Thanks to the meticulous planning and care provided by Pets Abroad, Nahla, Qitmir, and Talia were soon ready to embark on the final leg of their journey – the journey to their new home where Mum and Dad were anxiously waiting.

This little guy was found taking a swim in our office courtyard (which was quickly turning into a swimming pool) earlier today. Rescued before he got sucked into the water pumps and now residing in a warm hidey hole in a corner of our grooming room. Christened Prince (aka Purple Rain ☔️) by Dean - although I think he looks like a “Fred”.

Tommy is finally home and he is absolutely loving life down under 🎉. Flying to Australia 🇦🇺 takes a lot of preparation and time. 180 days minimum from the day a rabies blood test sample reaches the lab (with various formalities prior to that to ensure a 10 day rather than 30 day quarantine period). Tommy had a lovely staycation with friends until it was time for him to catch up with the family. Then it was a flight to Melbourne, 10-days quarantine, a flight to Perth and reunion & chill time. Exploring home being the first priority (after eating and sleeping of course). 🇦🇪 DXB - MEL - PER 🇦🇺 🐈‍⬛ ✈️ 🐾
