Meet our new junior nurse, Violah!
She was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, and holds both a Diploma and Certificate in Animal Production and Management. For the past 8-9 years, she has worked with animals, from veterinary pharmacies and livestock farms to Pet shops, and even ran her poultry farm for a year.
She genuinely believes every pet deserves the best care in the world… and maybe a cuddle or two while we're at it. She's also a proud dog mom to a German Shepherd, Max, who is now 2 years old and the cutest dog ever. (I'm pretty sure she's biased on that, but who wouldn't?)
Outside of work, she is a bit of a social runner, having done a few marathons just for fun, also hoping to run her first Ultra Marathon next year, and when she is not running, she either watches crime shows or vibing to anything Beyoncé or some slow RnB.

Meet Rubi 💕
She came to us from Sri Lanka and was diagnosed with chronic renal insufficiency. This condition requires lifelong management, but it doesn’t stop her from thriving. 🌿
With weekly subcutaneous fluids, support for her anemia, regular blood and urine tests, and the right kidney supplements, Rubi is doing incredibly well and enjoying life like the strong girl she is. 🐾
It’s a reminder that with the right care, pets with chronic conditions can still live happy, healthy lives. 💪

Cushing’s disease is one of the most common—we often see dogs with:
🗑️ Constant hunger (bin diving pros)
🐖 Pot-bellied look
🦴 Hair loss, dark skin, and the classic “rat tail”
🚰 Drinking and peeing a lot
But that’s not all. Diabetes and Addison’s disease are also part of this category and can easily go undiagnosed if we don’t connect the dots. And in cats, a rarely discussed but very real condition is feline acromegaly—often hiding behind uncontrolled diabetes.
