It’s Dr. Zenia (not Zeina ok?), our Senior Veterinarian | Managing Director & Partner at Panacea Vets 💜.
She’s deeply passionate about feline medicine, dentistry, ultrasonography, dermatology, and BOAS surgery, always combining expert knowledge with a gentle, holistic approach to keep pets healthy and happy.

🐾✨ Meet Izyme — our little “raisin”! 🍇
This gorgeous creature, whose name means raisin in Russian, came to us with a condition called eosinophilic granuloma. This allergic skin reaction can be triggered by food or environmental allergens.

Dr. Sofia performed all the necessary lab tests and initiated targeted treatment. Just a few weeks later, Izyme’s skin is fully healed, and he’s back to his beautiful self! 😻💫

These could be early warnings of a herniated disc — a condition that can range from mild discomfort to complete paralysis if left untreated.

Herniated discs happen when the spinal discs bulge or rupture, pressing on nerves and causing pain or weakness. While breeds like Dachshunds, French Bulldogs, and Corgis are more at risk, any dog can be affected.

💔 Did you know?
In cats aged 9 years and older, the prevalence of HCM is estimated at ~29.4% — and it’s even higher in breeds like Ragdolls, British Shorthairs, and Maine C***s.
Many cats with HCM don’t have heart murmurs and can remain asymptomatic for years.

Certain conditions can worsen the disease, including:
🟣 Obesity – excess fat makes the heart work harder (just like in people!)
🟣Hyperthyroidism
🟣 Stress
💡 Early detection saves lives. Ask us about cardiac screening — especially if your cat belongs to a breed that is predisposed to heart issues or is over 7 years old.

Lilies may look beautiful in your home, but for cats, they can be deadly. 🌸🐱

All parts of the lily — petals, leaves, pollen, and even the water in the vase — are highly toxic to cats. Even a tiny nibble or simply licking pollen from their fur can lead to acute kidney failure, a life-threatening emergency.

👉 If you even suspect your cat has touched or chewed on a lily, go to the vet immediately. Every minute counts.
