HELLO DEAR FRIENDS👋

We observed that for the past few days, we have patients with lice infestation. They both came from a pet shop. This is to increase awareness for new furparents to properly check their newly acquired furbabies. Have them properly check before possession.

Lice are external parasites that chew on the skin or suck the blood, causing skin irritation, itchiness, and possible anemia in severe infestations. Untreated pets can develop pediculosis over the entire body. Infestations are more common in young pups, debilitated/malnourished animals or geriatric animals in unsanitary conditions. Infestations are not common in clean, healthy pets. Lice are tiny, species-specific external parasites that live on the skin and hair coat of dogs and other mammals.

HELLO DEAR FRIENDS👋

And for this case, Sashaa came for castration but found out to be dehydrated and with history of inappetence for 2 days. Blood works result shows increase in albumin, amylase, blood urea nitogen and total protein that indicates dehydration and possible azotemia from renal function problem. Intravenous fluid therapy was given plus renal supplements.

After days of fluid therapy, Sashaa was brought home with renal supplements and medical advise for his condition.

We will check on Sashaa's condition again and if he will be able to undergo neutering.

These tandem of mother and daughters came for their annual vaccination and deworming schedules. Not a very pleasant day but getting preventive vaccinations and deworming will keep the doctor's away😄.
But still Mama Dog Sash (the smallest and heaviest😃) keeps a smiling face after the injection and both daughters Faith and Milo still projects the nervous face.
