is our Scruffy
🐾 Scruff’s story 🐾
Rescued as tiny 640g kitten all alone and the worst case of ringworm we’ve seen. Scruffy little body was basically illuminated as a Christmas tree under the UV light.
She spent weeks and weeks under treatment at the vet.
Luckily foster home was found and after a rocky start due to Scruffy’s lack of socialization and trust which could be explained with her growing up in a cage at the vet she settled and made friend with foster dad and Oreo another of our rescues.
Unfortunately today both Scruffy and Oreo are back in boarding.
Scruffy is a fascinating cat, full of life and an adventurous spirit. She brings a unique blend of playful energy and endearing quirks to her home, making every day an interesting one!
*Loves & Affection (on Her Terms!)*:
Cozy Companion: Scruffy enjoys the finer comforts in life, happily sleeping in the bed and joining you on the sofa for some relaxation time.
Conditional Cuddles: She's open to being picked up, but there's a trick! Offer her a favorite toy to engage with while in your arms, and she's much more content.
The Blanket Rule: If you'd like Scruffy to grace your lap, be sure to lay down a blanket first – it's her special requirement for settling in!
Quiet Observer (Mostly!): Generally, Scruffy isn't a big talker. However, she'll definitely let you know vocally if something has made her angry!
*Play & Preferences:*
Toy Connoisseur: Playtime is a highlight! Scruffy has specific tastes: a plushy mouse is perfect for some satisfying chewing, while balls are her go-to for an energetic chase.
Curiosity-Driven Shadow: While not a constant follower, Scruffy's interest is piqued when you're doing something she deems interesting – then she'll be right there to supervise!
*Things to Know (Her Unique Quirks & Strengths!):*
Enthusiastic Playmate: Scruffy plays with gusto! Her play-fighting can be a bit rough, so she's still learning the ropes of gentle interaction.
Unique Navigator: She's not the most agile climber you'll meet and sometimes seems to have a few balance wobbles, often falling. She appreciates a helping hand, like a ramp, to reach higher spots that other cats might scale easily.
Sensitive Soul with a Fierce Spirit: While generally calm these days, Scruffy has a strong self-preservation instinct. If she feels threatened or very nervous, she can become aggressive and hostile. In these moments, it's crucial to handle her with extreme care and caution until she feels secure again.
Independent & Determined: Scruffy has a mind of her own and can be quite stubborn when she sets her heart on something!

Playful Chirps: Listen closely when she's engrossed in chasing toys or exploring a new territory – you might be treated to her cute, little chirping noises!
Welcoming to All: Scruffy is a social butterfly and is very accepting of new people, making visitors feel right at home.
The Activity Instigator: Her energy is infectious! When people are moving and doing things around the house, Scruffy comes alive with playful antics, making even mundane tasks more enjoyable for everyone.
Brave Explorer: True to her name, Scruffy is very explorative, always keen to investigate new spaces and discover hidden corners.
Scruffy is a cat with a big personality, requiring a bit of understanding for her unique needs and responses. Her explorative nature and playful bursts bring a lot of joy.
Scruffy is 🐾 8 months old and will always be a small size kitty, she is 🐾 vaccinated 🐾 microchipped and 🐾 spayed.
