Furrballs vision is to be the regional leader in placing dogs and cats in qualified adoptive homes. Furrballs is a self funded animal welfare entity.

We strive to build a modern facility; that enables us to expand our rescue and adoption, community outreach and education services. The organization is dedicated to improve the lives of animals in our community and beyond. We promote responsible pet guardianship, the humane treatment of animals and work towards ending animal overpopulation; through education and a variety of programs. We take pride in what we do working to keep homeless pets safe, happy and sheltered.

🌟 New Year, Same Mission 🐾

As we step into a new year, we reflect on 2025 at Furrballs with gratitude, pride, and honesty.

It was a year filled with impact, lives saved, second chances given, and animals supported through the incredible help of daycares, foster families, and our wider Furrballs community. Every open home, every shared post, and every act of kindness truly mattered.

It was also a year of loss.
Losing our shelter and some of our team members was a heavy blow, and it meant fewer rescues than our hearts wished for.

But what has never changed is Furrballs’ mission.
No matter the challenges, Furrballs will always work to the best of our capabilities advocating, rescuing where possible, and standing up for animals who have no voice.

This new year isn’t about perfection.
It’s about commitment, compassion, and community.

Thank you for standing with Furrballs through every high and low.
Here’s to another year of resilience, hope, and paws held tight 🐶🐱✨

Health: Healthy & vaccinated
Medical Note: Had a previous disc (spine) condition and is now stable, requires a calm lifestyle.
Social Behavior: Friendly with small dogs and humans.

Leo is a sweet, lovable boy who forms deep bonds and truly enjoys gentle attention. He can be shy in new environments, so he’s looking for a quiet, patient home where he can feel safe and relaxed.

Due to his previous disc condition, it’s very important that Leo avoids jumping, rough play, or excessive activity. For this reason, a home without young children is best, as calm surroundings and a peaceful routine help him stay comfortable and healthy.

With time, patience, and love, he will blossom into the most affectionate and loyal companion. 🤗

When love isn’t enough, we ask for help 🤍

Caring for rescue dogs means committing to them for life, not just until it’s convenient. We cover their daily needs — food, boarding, routine care, love, and safety — without hesitation.

But sometimes, medical care goes beyond what we can carry alone.

55 minutes… that’s all it took for Chunck to find a home.

But these 4 souls have been waiting YEARS.**

Ziggy, Buzo, Lala, Princess.

Four names. Four stories. One heartbreaking truth:
Some dogs wait their whole lives for a chance they never get.

Ziggy has been passed around from foster to foster. Not because he’s “bad” ! but because boarding broke him. He tried so hard to adjust… but every time someone promised to commit, they disappeared.

On Dec 20th, Ziggy has nowhere to go. We are praying for a miracle.

Buzo grew up on a farm and has never known life inside a home. No sofa. No cuddle. No “welcome home.” Only love he knows is the love he keeps trying to give.

Lala finally felt what belonging feels like… and then lost it. Separation anxiety is not her fault — it’s a symptom of finally being loved, then losing it.

Princess, surrendered from an accidental litter, has been moved from place to place. Each time she adjusts… time runs out. And we have no space left to take her in.

💔 They are running out of time.
We are running out of options.

Breed: Shih Tzu
Gender: Male

Health Status (Both): healthy and vaccinated- neutered and spayed.

Social Behavior: good with dogs and cats, best with kids older than at least 5 years old. (Leo prefers a quieter environment)

Kylie and Leo have known one thing their whole lives: a loving home and a person who adored them. Today, they don’t understand why everything has changed. Their owner is fighting for life in the ICU, and these two gentle souls suddenly have no one left to go home to.

They are confused, quiet, and grieving a love they can’t see anymore. After spending their entire lives side by side, they must stay together, separating them now would break them twice.

We are urgently looking for a foster, or even better, a forever home willing to take both Kylie and Leo into their hearts.
