We strive to build a modern facility; that enables us to expand our rescue and adoption, community outreach and education services. The organization is dedicated to improve the lives of animals in our community and beyond. We promote responsible pet guardianship, the humane treatment of animals and work towards ending animal overpopulation; through education and a variety of programs. *Just when we think we are making positive changes in the world with the movement.*

We are given a dog that smells of rot. Fur so matted he didn’t even look like a dog.

A boy in too much pain to even be touched.

That’s how Braveheart came to us.

Roughly Six years old… and carrying months of silent suffering. His re**um is severely infected, his body weak, his spirit terrified. He fought sleep with every ounce of strength, as if closing his eyes meant losing the only fight he had left. 💔

But yesterday, he wasn’t alone anymore. Yesterday, Braveheart was finally safe and is responding well to treatment.

Now he needs time, healing, and a loving foster home or forever home that will show him what love truly is. The fact he has not been shown any compassion breaks our hearts, yes we see this often but it doesn’t mean it gets any easier.

We are reaching out in need of your help to cover his treatment, food, and care.

Braveheart deserves more than survival. He deserves to be loved.

Just when we think we are making positive changes in the world with the movement.

Meet Toast 💜

Temperament: Shy around new people, but a total sweetheart once she trusts you.
Health: Fully vaccinated and thriving!

Toast came to us in one of the worst states we’ve seen — anemic, severely underweight, and a lactating mother.
She was exhausted, barely surviving… and surrendered without a second thought. 💔
To the people who failed her: Shame on you.
But Toast? She didn’t give up.
Thanks to proper medical care at our partner clinic .petdr and a loving foster home, she began to heal — physically and emotionally.
✨ Her fur grew back.
✨ She gained strength.
✨ She started wagging her tail again.
Now she’s a healthy, soft-natured girl with so much love to give.
She’s not the loudest in the room — she’s shy around new people, and busy or chaotic homes can overwhelm her. But in the right environment, calm, patient, and loving she blooms beautifully.
She also gets along well with other dogs and cats, making her the perfect companion for a peaceful household.
All she needs now is a forever family, one that will give her the safety and love she’s never known before.

Our sweet Toffee recently went on a trial adoption — and while his new family adored him, it sadly wasn’t the right match. 💔
Through no one’s fault, their long working hours meant Toffee was home alone far too much.

Toffee is your typical sweet but slightly anxious little boy, so the best home for him would be one where:
• Someone is home for most of the day
• Bonus if there are kids (he loves them when introduced properly!)
• He has company, whether human or furry.

When we place our rescues, we don’t always get it right the first time — and that’s exactly why our trial adoption period is so important. Sometimes behaviors only show once an animal settles into a new environment, and we always want to make sure they’re truly happy and comfortable.

Back to Toffee! 🐶
He’s a sweet, social little guy who’s great with other dogs 🐕 and even cats 🐈. He loves attention, playtime, and being part of a family’s daily life.

LENNY UPDATE:

Since our last post, Lenny has moved into a foster home — and wow, what a 360° transformation! 🌟 He’s blossomed into the sweetest boy who absolutely LOVES attention and being around people.🥰

Unfortunately, we’ve also learned that Lenny has separation anxiety. This isn’t something that can be fixed overnight, but with time, patience, and the right environment, it can improve.

His current foster mom lives alone, and sadly her lifestyle and home setup aren’t ideal for managing his needs — for her or for Lenny. 💔

We are now urgently looking for a new foster home where Lenny can continue to thrive;
• Someone who is home most of the day or has minimal time away
• A calm, loving environment
• Commitment to working with him on his anxiety

Last night, we got a late request. We were absolutely exhausted after a full day of joy with and all we wanted was to crash. But something told us to check…
And sure enough, life had other plans.
Meet Trixie – a sweetheart who’s been passed around like a parcel:
Family to another family then another family then another family and again to another family !
One furrball. Four different homes! This girl deserves some stability, bless her!
Thanks to one of our amazing adopters and loyal volunteers, we made sure she was safe for now.
Trixie is healthy and vaccinated (vet check to follow, of course), and she’s settled temporarily. But here’s the catch…
We need to urgently find her a foster home asap or even better a furrever home!
The clinic is full. And our founder/foster-mom-in-chief Sara is heading for a much-needed break (finally 😅).
Let’s talk about Trixie the dog, not the drama:

Meet Pearl – Our Little Survivor with a Big Heart
Breed: Pomeranian |
Age: one year old (DOB: approx. May 2024)
Gender: Female (Spayed)

Social: adores people, total sweetheart

Health status: healthy & vaccinated.

Pearl was surrendered through no fault of her own—just a tiny pup who had an accident that changed her little world. At only 6 months old, she broke her leg and had to undergo corrective surgery.

While the surgery went well, she’s still hesitant to put full weight on it. Vets say it’s behavioral, likely due to trauma and fear of pain—something that gentle physio and time could absolutely help with.

She went on a trial adoption but unfortunately it didn’t work out as she was too much for their other doggy though she loves, charming everyone she meets with her angelic demeanor. She’s gentle, kind, playful, and LOVES people to bits.

She’s been through a lot for such a young age, but you’d never know it from her spirit. She’s resilient, radiant, and ready for her forever home. 💛

If you’re looking for a little fluff ball with a heart of gold and the courage of a lion, Pearl is your girl.

Our sweet boy Ziggy was first rescued over a year ago with his sister who’s now living her best life in a forever home. But Ziggy? He’s still waiting.

Ziggy has grown so much, both in size and spirit. He’s a goofy, clever, and playful boy with the most expressive eyes—but life in limbo hasn’t been easy on him.

To give him the best chance at success, Ziggy is currently at , where he’s receiving structured training to help manage his leash reactivity.

He’s responding beautifully. With the right guidance, he’s going to be an incredible companion.

Ziggy would thrive in a home that:

Princess was surrendered in August 2023, along with her two siblings—and a surprise fourth. We were only asked to take two, but when four needed saving, how could we say no?

She’s been with us ever since.
She’s attended every single adoption day.
She’s been well-behaved, calm, gentle with other dogs… and still, she gets overlooked.

Single
Time!!!

And we’re left asking ourselves! Why?

There’s absolutely no reason.
She’s a majestic, placid, and soft-natured girl—your classic Saluki in all the best ways.
She asks for nothing, gives only quiet love, and is one of the most graceful souls we’ve had the honour of rescuing.

After nearly two years in our care, Princess finally got a short break—a one-month foster home. But come mid-July, she’ll have to return to the shelter if we can’t find her a longer-term foster… or better yet, a forever home.

Please don’t let this be her story. She deserves so much more.
