🌟 Six Furrballs in Desperate Need of Your Help 🌟

Last week was nothing short of overwhelming. We opened our doors and hearts to six new souls, five of whom are battling severe medical conditions. Each of these furrballs has endured unimaginable hardship, but with your support, we can give them the second chance they so deeply deserve.

Here’s a glimpse into their heartbreaking yet hopeful journeys:

🐾 Dermy
This sweet 3-month-old Samoyed mix was surrendered due to severe health issues. Tests revealed he’s heartworm positive, with the larvae already affecting his eyesight. One eye is worsening, but we’re holding onto hope that with the right treatment, he might regain his vision. No puppy should endure this.

🐾 Brooklyn
Brooklyn’s story is especially gut-wrenching. At just a year old, she arrived completely defeated, with no spirit left. She tested positive for babesia, a tick-borne disease that has damaged her liver. She was also severely anemic and covered in painful, infected wounds, likely from a life of confinement. One of her abscesses even ruptured under pressure. She’s healing slowly, but her body and soul need time.

🐾 Poppy
While Poppy tested negative for tick-borne diseases, her body tells a story of neglect. She was covered in wounds, likely from allergies and living in filth. She tested positive for Giardia and intestinal worms, with parasites in her stool that no animal should ever endure.

🐾 Lil Old Man
Though not truly old, his frail body tells a different story. He is malnourished, weak, and positive for Ehrlichia, another deadly tick-borne disease. He’s severely anemic, and while we are doing everything to nurture him back to health, his road to recovery is long.

🐾 W***y
Like Lil Old Man, W***y also tested positive for Ehrlichia, though his condition is less advanced. He’s on medication and has a good chance of recovery with the right care.

🐾 Peaches
Surrendered just yesterday, Peaches was infested with ticks, anemic, and Ehrlichia positive. She showed signs of lethargy and weakness, and on top of everything, she also has pancreatitis, requiring a low-fat diet. Poor little one, you are safe now!

We go through *30-40* bags of *15kg* dog food each month, and with soaring vet bills and fewer adoptions, we’re facing an uphill battle to keep them fed and healthy.

Hello everyone,

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who generously sponsored food for our furrballs boarding at Tail-Waggin’. Thanks to you, they’re sorted for another month.

However, Jumbo and Marshall, who are currently boarding at the dog retreat, are running low on food. Additionally, our shelter has 38 tummies counting on us, and we’re close to running out.

Exciting News!

We have a new boarding sponsor on board!

We’ve been offered two fantastic spots for our furry friends at The Dog Retreat ! 😍😍 Jumbo will be moving from Tail Waggin', thanks to the generous sponsorship from the lovely Dounja last month, and Marshall will be heading there from the shelter.

Dounja is kindly giving Jumbo a ride, but Marshall still needs a lift to his new home away from home.

Meet Chicko!
Breed: Mixed Breed (Husky x Shepherd)
Gender: Male (not yet neutered)
Age: About 1 year old
Social Behavior:
Chicko is a friendly, playful guy who loves kids and gets along great with other dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but his friendly nature suggests he could do well with them.
Health Status:
Chicko is in excellent health and is fully vaccinated!

Rescue Story:
On one of the hottest summer days in Dubai, we got a call about an abandoned dog. We knew that being left outside in this heat was a death sentence for him, so we quickly went to rescue him. When we found Chicko, it was clear he had been outside for days. He was starving, dehydrated, and weak. If we hadn’t reached him that day, he wouldn’t have made it.

After receiving urgent care at the vet, Chicko quickly turned into the most loving dog you can imagine. It’s hard to believe that a dog who was abandoned could still have so much love to give. He found a wonderful foster home where he is doing great. He’s house trained, well-mannered, and ready for his forever home. Chicko is not only handsome, he is a true ride or die!

Rocky is a lovable, playful boy who gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs. However, he's not a fan of cats.

Health Status:
Rocky is in excellent health and is fully vaccinated.

Rocky is not only incredibly handsome, but he's also house-trained and well-mannered. Sadly, due to his owner’s health issues, they can no longer care for him. They have made the difficult decision to find Rocky a new home where he will be loved and cared for.

We have some wonderful news to share!

Our little Pug Pug is scheduled for surgery in 20 days. The procedure was initially delayed because her X-ray showed that her bones were not fully developed. Since the surgery involves inserting pins into her spine for stabilization, it’s crucial that her bones are completely formed.

As with any surgery, there are risks, but after careful consideration, we believe the benefits far outweigh the cons in her case.

We’ve managed to raise around 10,000 AED so far, which means we still need to gather the remaining amount before the surgery can proceed.

After the surgery, it could take anywhere from 3 days to 3 months for her to show improvement, as every dog heals differently. But this procedure will allow her to use her front legs and possibly even get wheels to help her move around. Right now, she isn’t mobile at all and relies on us for everything, so this surgery will make a huge difference in her quality of life.

Poor baby was dropped, covered in ticks, underweight, and not in the best condition. She was fully vet-checked at .petdr, and we made sure she got the medical attention she needed.

This beautiful young lady is still a bit shy but is coming out of her shell more and more each day. She deserves a place to stay where she will learn what true love really means and can blossom into the happy-go-lucky girlie we know she can be.

Meet Sasha, our radiant beauty queen, finally stepping out of the shelter and into a boarding facility thanks to She’s truly blossoming, showing off her beautiful colors.

We’ve received the CT scan results for the little puglets, and it breaks our hearts to see such a young girl struggling with so many health issues due to unethical breeding practices. This is exactly why we advocate against supporting breeding and pet shops.

Unfortunately, cases like hers are all too common. Not every pet is fortunate enough to find their way to organizations like ours 💔, and many suffer silently.

For this little girl, surgery is an option, but finding the right surgeon is crucial.

We’re currently in discussions with several vets to find a solution that’s not only effective for her condition but also cost-effective.

Additionally, we’re reaching out to specialists like who focus on caring for special needs puglets.
