Hey dog lovers! 🐶 We all want to spoil our furbabies from time to time with natural treats, but did you know that not all foods that are safe for humans are safe for your dogs?
Here’s a quick guide on what’s good for them and to consider:

Safe Foods for Dogs

1. Carrots🥕
- Benefit: Great for dental health and packed with vitamin A.
- Caveat: None! Feel free to share these crunchy treats or boil them in bone broth for an extra treat! Be sure to cool the carrots down before giving them to your dogs.

2. Apples🍏
- Benefit: Full of vitamins A and C, plus dietary fiber.
- Caveat: Avoid giving them rotting apples to prevent alcohol poisoning and ensure that they do not consume the seeds.

3. White Rice🍚
- Benefit: Easy to digest, perfect for an upset stomach.
- Caveat: Can raise blood sugar levels, so only small amounts for diabetic dogs and in moderation for others.

4. Dairy Products🧀
- Benefit: Milk, cheese, and plain yogurt in small amounts are okay.
- Caveat: Dogs have low lactase levels; watch for signs of lactose intolerance like diarrhea or vomiting.

5. Fish (Salmon, Shrimp, Tuna)🐟
- Benefit: Excellent protein sources with omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamins.
- Caveat: Always cook fish to avoid harmful parasites and avoid giving them any fish bones whatsoever they may cause harm, especially in smaller dogs.

6. Chicken🍗
- Benefit: Plain, boiled chicken is great for an upset stomach.
- Caveat: None but a small percentage of dogs do have a food intolerance/allergy towards chicken. Do consult with your veterinarian should you suspect such an instance.

7. Peanut Butter🥜
- Benefit: Contains vitamins E and B, healthy fats, and protein.
- Caveat: Make sure it’s xylitol-free, as this sweetener is highly toxic to dogs.

8. Plain Popcorn🍿
- Benefit: Packed with magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc.
- Caveat: Avoid unpopped kernels to prevent choking and/or damaging their teeth, and do not add salt or any other seasoning. —->Rest continued in comments
