Dear Cyclists!
Welcome to the Eco-Social Farm! We work on projects aimed at enhancing social inclusion, including the Eco-Social Farm.
While I typically lead a busy life, I also enjoy traveling and engaging in outdoor activities for both adults and children, particularly with Taraboshi Shkoder and Skautistet Taraboshi. I live in a flat in Shkoder, but the farm is usually bustling with visitors.

The Eco-Social Farm is located in Oblike - Ana e Malit, just 7 km from the city center of Shkoder and 9 km from the Muriqan border with Montenegro. It’s a serene spot, surrounded by hills, perfect for taking a break from your cycling journey to recharge.

During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to relax in nature, enjoy a good night's sleep, take a shower, service your bikes, wash clothes, and cook some traditional Balkan recipes. You can also explore Shiroka, Lake Shkoder, meet fellow travellers, share experiences, and plan your next destination.

We refer to ourselves as social bicycle tourists, as we value looking after each other and our environment. The Eco-Social Farm is an evolving project focused on social inclusion and providing space for the socio-economic integration of local people. We offer hosting capacities and information about touring experiences in Shkoder and northern Albania.
The farm is open to locals, visitors, and travellers, and operates on a donation basis to support its maintenance. Donations help us cover daily costs such as animal feed, electricity, Wi-Fi, water, and cleaning supplies.

Donation Rates:
Camping: €5 per person per night + €1 per tent per night
Accommodation in our rooms: €10 per person per night
If you're interested, we also offer canoeing from Lake Shkoder to the Buna River for €15 per person in a double canoe.

We would be delighted to host you! Your visit and overnight stay will support our social project. Thank you for considering us, and we appreciate your understanding!
Please take care of the campsite and your room by keeping it tidy and clean for future travellers.

What Is Ecotourism?
Conservation
Offering market-linked long-term solutions, ecotourism provides effective economic incentives for conserving and enhancing bio-cultural diversity and helps protect the natural and cultural heritage of our beautiful planet.
Communities
By increasing local capacity building and employment opportunities, ecotourism is an effective vehicle for empowering local communities around the world to fight against poverty and to achieve sustainable development.
Interpretation
With an emphasis on enriching personal experiences and environmental awareness through interpretation, ecotourism promotes greater understanding and appreciation for nature, local society, and culture.
The Definition.
Ecotourism is now defined as “responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people, and involves interpretation and education” (TIES, 2015). Education is meant to be inclusive of both staff and guests.
Principles of Ecotourism
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. This means that those who implement, participate in and market ecotourism activities should adopt the following ecotourism principles:
Minimize physical, social, behavioral, and psychological impacts.
Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect.
Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts.
Provide direct financial benefits for conservation.
Generate financial benefits for both local people and private industry.
Deliver memorable interpretative experiences to visitors that help raise sensitivity to host countries’ political, environmental, and social climates.
Design, construct and operate low-impact facilities.
Recognize the rights and spiritual beliefs of the Indigenous People in your community and work in partnership with them to create empowerment.
