About the Ranch
Estancia Ranquilco is a family-owned and operated working ranch with ecolodge in the Andean foothills of Northern Patagonia, Argentina. People from around the world come to experience 100,000 acres of unfenced horseback riding, miles of world-class fly fishing, and the rustic ranch elegance of a true Argentine estancia.
The guest lodge is managed by T.A. Carrithers. T.A. splits his time between Ranquilco and Northern California, and has been doing so since the age of 12. T.A. and staff host guests for lodge stays and horse pack trips into the surrounding countryside and Andean mountains. The high country pack trips are great adventures – ride through river valleys, mountain passes, and alpine lakes into Ranquilco's summer grazing lands near the border with Chile. Guests can also stay at the lodge and take day rides, swim and fish in the river, lounge with a book, and participate in the workings of an off-the-grid community.
