Beautiful bread, such a staple food, is made here from scratch almost daily. Laura is preparing pan integral con semillas usando masa madre (whole grain sourdough bread with seeds). Baking with wood imparts a uniquely delicious flavor to everything we cook in our outdoor wood fired ovens. Que rico el pan!

Gardener needed! We have an unexpected opening for a gardener at our off-grid lodge in Patagonia, Argentina. Farm to table at its best!

Seeking folks:
*Comfortable starting everything from seed
*Experienced working in organic horticulture, using compost and manure as primary source of amendments
*Enthusiastic to take on the joys and challenges of food production in a remote location
*Enthusiastic about living without modern amenities - limited internet, hot water heated by fire, limited power supply (no dryers, refrigerators, heaters, television, etc)
*Additional desired, though not mandatory, skills: Spanish language, horse experience, remote living experience, handyperson.

Looking for someone available to start sometime in September, or early October at the latest. Length of stay flexible, ranging from 2-5 months. Compensation negotiable based on experience and length of stay.

Who recognizes this view? 🖐The epic approach to the Ranquilco lodge. We pick guests up at our ranch outpost with horses and mules and ride three hours to an oasis of trees perched above the Trocoman river. It’s rather indescribable, really, the experience of arriving.

Yesterday, the Argentine government announced the reopening of the border beginning November 1. With this news, we are excited to confirm that our upcoming season is a go! After 21 months since our last guests departed, we’re so looking forward to welcoming you back! The horses are waiting.

After a year's hiatus, we're returning to our beloved Mongolia this September! Join us in Western Mongolia for a wild adventure packing camels through the Altai mountains and riding with the eagle hunters. Jointly led by Ranquilco's T.A. Carrithers and a team of expert Mongolian guides, this trip is carefully planned to introduce a lucky few to bits of Mongolia not often accessible to international travelers. It is quite literally awesome.

While the country's borders are still closed, the Covid vaccine rollout is very strong and the government has stated they'll be reopening borders to international travelers by July. We and our Mongolian partners feel confident this trip will not only be possible, but also safe come September.
