After Guido Sklenar's death, the famous 47 beehive passed through the heirs to the then breeding successor and head of the breeding station Hirschgrund, master beekeeper Anton Schleining. Decades later, in a conversation with beekeeper master Ing. Franz Obendorfer, who was now appointed by the Lower Austrian State Beekeepers' Association, the idea arose to hand over the historical artefact to the City Museum Archives of Mistelbach to supplement the existing "Guido Sklenar Collection". On February 9, 2023, in the presence of mayor Erich Stubenvoll and city councilor for culture Josef Schimmer, Obendorfer was able to hand over the 'holy grail of beekeepers' to government councilor Alfred Englisch. Now the historic beehive has been secured for future generations and has returned to the home and workplace of its former owner.
