Yesterday I had the pleasure to host the fifth Coffee, Donut and ReproTalks with DrSontas in my practice.
The main topic of yesterday's ReproTalks was short and long-term conservation of dog semen. First we started the talk with the possibilities of breeding a female dog when the male lives very far away from the breeder's house, moved on to the characteristics of dog semen and the definition or chilled and frozen semen, followed by the general information on both methods including procedure, the storage times and conditions and also the shipment, and finally the advantages and disadvantages of each methods that should be taken into account.
The talk got richer and richer when the breeders asked so many questions...
As usual, at the end of the talk, we had delicious donuts and coffee...

Gestern hatte ich das Vergnügen, die fünfte Ausgabe von „Coffee, Donut and ReproTalks“ mit Dr. Sontas in meiner Praxis zu veranstalten.
Das Hauptthema der gestrigen ReproTalks war die kurz- und langfristige Konservierung von Hundesperma. Zunächst sprachen wir über die Möglichkeiten der Zucht einer Hündin, wenn der Rüde sehr weit vom Züchter entfernt lebt, gingen dann zu den Eigenschaften von Hundesperma und der Definition von gekühltem und gefrorenem Sperma über, gefolgt von allgemeinen Informationen zu beiden Methoden, einschließlich des Verfahrens, der Lagerzeiten und -bedingungen sowie des Versands, und schließlich zu den Vor- und Nachteilen der einzelnen Methoden, die berücksichtigt werden sollten.
Der Vortrag wurde immer interessanter, als die Züchter so viele Fragen stellten...
Wie immer gab es am Ende des Vortrags leckere Donuts und Kaffee...
Ich möchte mich bei den Züchtern bedanken, die am Sonntagmorgen gekommen sind, um am fünften Coffee, Donut and ReproTalks teilzunehmen... Außerdem möchte ich mich bei VetConcept für die Unterstützung bei der Organisation von ReproTalks mit Dr. Sontas bedanken...
