FELINE VACCINATION SHORTAGE 🐱

There is currently a national shortage of feline vaccinations that is expected to last until January/March of 2024. This includes both the core F3 vaccination and FIV vaccination.

As a result, we have a limited supply remaining, which we must reserve for kittens as they are the most vulnerable.
Adult cats that have had a series of 2–3 kitten vaccines and an annual booster every year thereafter are at much lower risk of vaccine-preventable infectious disease, as studies have demonstrated extended duration of immunity.

We understand how crucial it is to maintain an up-to-date vaccination protocol, and we share in the disappointment caused by the ongoing supply issues.
Unfortunately, this situation is beyond our control and we apologise for any disruption it may cause.

The vaccination shortage stemmed from the largest manufacturer of F3 vaccinations in Australia experiencing manufacturing and supply issues, leading to a shortage of their vaccines. This forced everyone to switch to different brands which ultimately depleted their stock due to the increased demand. Furthermore, one of the other manufacturers discontinued the vaccine entirely, exacerbating the supply problem.

Our last phase of renovations is to fix the car park. This unfortunately means our car park is inaccessible for a couple of weeks.

Entry to the building is via the door on Main North Road (the old entry) and parking can be found on Wilson Street and Highbury Street.

We apologise for the inconvenience. This will be the last disruption and our renovations will officially be complete 🎉🎉
