With the smaller monitor species, their basic diet is dust coated invertebrates but once a week, I offer them something different, in this case, finely chopped chicken hearts, always goes down well.

The scalaris didn’t appreciate their enclosure being cleaned and they have no issues in letting me know about it.

My old female freckle monitor after her cage clean this morning, still producing a couple of fertile each season.

Breeding season isn’t over just yet. This female Southern Pilbara rock monitor has just begun to dig, and a couple of other females are Aldo looking promising.
