It is with great sadness that her beloved Ewen made his way over the rainbow bridge this weekend. Ewen came into Sim and her family’s life and brought only love and joy. He had some immense health problems (including blindness) and Sim has lovingly cared for him to give him his bestest life.
Our pets bring happiness, joy, laughter, understanding and more than anything – unconditional LOVE. It is always heartbreaking to lose them.

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to our Groomer, Tam.
Tam has faced a difficult time over the last few months with family health issues and has decided her parents need her full support and care at this time.
Tam joined our FYPO Grooming Team as a Champion Groomer. During her time with us, she has entered Grooming Competitions and been extremely successful, winning more categories and increasing her skill recognition. Her experience and ability has always shone through, and she has proven to be a valuable part of our team.
We have been very proud and thankful to have had Tam as a member of our ‘For Your Paws Only’ family and we wish her only the best for her future.

We were very excited to host Frank Pangallo, MP in-store on Sunday to launch legislation to change the way pet food manufacturers market and label pet food in Australia.
This legislation will have its 2nd reading in Parliament on Wednesday and hopefully will pass, giving us, as pet owners the ability to be confident that what we are feeding our pets is being marketed correctly and all ingredients are shown clearly on the label.

DID YOU KNOW …
“In Australia, pet food is completely self-regulated, with voluntary industry standards that pet food companies do not have to comply with.
Without regulation there is very limited transparency.
Consumers can be completely in the dark about the content, such as additives, colouring, flavouring and preservatives, ingredients, nutritional value, manufacturing standards, ingredient type and sourcing and the quality of the pet food product they are purchasing. Brands do not have to disclose how much of anything that they use, and they can make claims on their packaging and in marketing, like “perfect for a balanced diet” or “scientifically formulated” without having to back them up.
We put a lot of trust into pet foods and that what we're doing is safe and the right thing by our pets but in reality, in Australia this comes down more to good luck than informed choice.
There is no government oversight of the pet food industry, much as we have for other food standards.
This Bill is to address this wholly unsatisfactory regulatory environment in South Australia and to make sure that there are at least minimum mandatory requirements and standards for marketing or labelling, to properly disclose what they are selling and importantly for consumers to know what they are buying.
We can model improvements in pet food safety and nutrition in South Australia, setting the stage for national level reforms that align with the best interest of pets and their owners.
This Bill is to enable pet owners to make educated decisions about what they feed their pets so that their pets live longer and better lives.”
