Hisses to Purrs Incorporated Hisses to Purrs is a cat rescue based in Morphett Vale. We specialise in street cats and kittens Hisses to Purrs is committed to rescuing only street cats.

Hisses to Purrs was started to rescue street and colony cats in southern Adelaide. We only cover the southern suburbs of Adelaide and do not take in cats or kittens from outside of this area. We believe that every cat deserves a chance to find the comfort of a forever home. Those that we cannot save, we’re committed to desexing and vaccinating and releasing back to their established colony or to t

he area they are being fed so the spread of unsocialised cats and kittens will stop. This means that we do not take unwanted owned cats and kittens. We also do not offer rehoming. We will however come to rescue any street cats if we have the capacity to do so at the time. If there is a street cat near you that needs saving, please contact us. We rely solely on the generous donations and adoption fees to do the work we do. We are a registered charity with DGR status and all donations over $2 are tax deductible. Caramello,Twix and Hershey are available for adoption at Petstock Melrose park today!
All 3 are 11 week old males and ready for their furrever homes, aren’t they Beautiful 😻

Caramello is a calm boy who loves to be cuddled and loves belly rubs. He’s such a happy boy and will definitely make someone a very happy human!

Twix is a big ball of fluff just like his brother caramello. Also like his brother he also lovesss cuddles, he’s such a beautiful boy!

Hershey is a shy boy at first but once he gets to know you he’ll be the best companion. Hershey loves to play with his siblings and other cats but he would also be perfectly okay by himself too!

Markets are back for 2025! You can see our January and February markets below!

This year we've decided to do something a little different. We'll still have all your $5 favourites, but we'll have a $10 table this year with some exciting new products. We've spent the last 5 weeks crafting up a storm and can't wait to show you what we've made!

We'll see you at The Original Open Market inc on the 19th!

8 week old Lily was recently trapped and rescued. She has unfortunately escaped her foster home and is very timid.

If you live around Hallett Cove, please keep an eye out for Lily. The photo doesn't show it, but she does have white on her chest.

Wilbert, Gladys and Rose are all now available at Petstock Melrose Park! All three of these sweeties were found on the streets in 2 different areas. They've gone from being scared hissy spitty babies to such affectionate smooches 😻😻

Wilbert and Gladys are approximately 7 weeks old and Rose is a 7 month old young mum cat.

The gorgeous Conrad is now available at Petstock Melrose Park!

Conrad is a purry boy who is still a little shy around movement. Being born in the bushes at PETstock Melrose Park it's not surprising that he's still getting used to indoor life.

When he's established trust with you, Conrad is super affectionate and will even drool with happiness when getting a pat.

Conrad is best suited to a home with another cat who he can spend his time with and learn from.

Unfortunately, we've had to cancel our last market of the year and will no longer be at The Original Open Market inc on Sunday. We'll be back there on the 19/1/25 which will also be our first market of the new year. We're sad that we won't be there but we had to consider our volunteers. With the forecast showing 33c at 10am we had to make the decision to cancel. We hope everyone stays cool on Sunday!

WOW! What an amazing day! We raised a phenomenal $1,340 towards our vet fees. Thank you so much to the City of Onkaparinga for having us at the Onkaparinga Christmas Pageant 2024 we're truly so grateful for the support 😻😻 Little John Nolan and Lucy Chen send their thanks as well.

Today's market also marked one year since Alicia started making earrings and attending markets. With your help we've officially raised $8,479! Markets have made a massive difference to our fundraising efforts and have helped us keep on top of our vet fees throughout the year. We really can't thank our community enough for helping support our rescue. Little Lucy Chen thanks you all for contributing to her care as well! We hope to see you all at future markets!
