Barney is an Amstaff who has been struggling with his excitement over other dogs, a common complaint for owners of this breed. Luckily his owners are investing in his & their education by doing both a foundation course & day training sessions with us. This is an excellent way to fast-track your progress when you have a busy life schedule.

Cheryl & the whole team run one heck of an event. 10/10 on a great job!
Mia is one of the greats. It shows in everything she does. Her passion is contagious, her drive is limitless, her presentation of dog training theory is clear, concise & easy to understand. Yet somehow her ex*****on of the theory is even more impressive. It was humbling to watch her take a young dog she has never seen before & work it like the dog had grown up in her system. Outside of her talent as a dog trainer she is also just a really good human being. Warm, intelligent, generous, honest, diligent & also somehow fun. She embodies the Malinois spirit & it’s not hard to see how she has had the success that she has achieved in competitive Dog Sport.

New Year-New Start!
Barkley our latest rehome dog has started the new year with a bang!…and a new home. We hope that he finds his life with Widge (Dave) a much better fit & we think he is going to love his new role as ride along buddy & watch dog of Widge’s rig. We found Barkley to be a fun & happy little dog & we are sure he will have a wonderful future with Widge.

What is your essential kit? What can you absolutely not live without when it comes to training your dog?
Home time for Mila.
She snorted, grunted & snored her way into our hearts, but her time with us (at least for this visit) is nearly over. So a quick bath & a brush & she is a new girl, ready for her owners to come take her home.
The Pocket Bully is not the breed I would choose, but after my time with Mila I can see why people would love these dogs. She is bouncy, fun & funny. She loves a cuddle or a play & has a sweet but outgoing personality.
My kids loved her & hopefully we will see her again some time in the future.
Equipped K9 is the furthest thing from a “pet resort” that you could think of, but we do take extremely limited clients for Boarding or Board & Train work. The dogs stay at home with us & our family (of dogs & small children) and are treated as members of our family.
For some dogs this helps balance them, or build drive, or just ensure that their quality of life remains the same while their owners visit Uluru, as in Mila’s case.

Not the weekend we were hoping for. The long drive & trial field that they had never set foot on was just a bit much to ask of the dogs. But still a great weekend. Great to catch up with such an amazing group of people & thanks so much to for hosting a first class event. Thanks as well to Cheryl for doing a superb job of judging our challenging performances 🤭
We go back to training, change a few things & try again next time.
But hey, it wasn’t a complete waste of a trip, we did get to see a bloody big Koala 🐨! Thanks as well to & for your gracious hospitality.

🦋 GRETEL NEEDS A HOME 🦋
**UPDATE: Gretel is in a trial with a potential new home**
This beautiful girl, affectionately nicknamed “Pupperfly”, has spent 3 weeks being boarded full time with Phil, and is searching for her furever home. She is 18 months old and comes with a free bag of LifeWise food to start her off.
A meeting with you is necessary before we decide who would be the “best fit” for this gorgeous girl.
Ideally, her furever home will:
🦋 Have someone able to dedicate themselves to regular daily training.
🦋 Dedicate their commitment to furthering her work with either Phil from GTK9 or a likeminded trainer near you (we can recommend!)
🦋 Have no cats, OR the time and commitment to put the training in to Gretel becoming accustomed to cats.
🦋 Be committed to crating at night and during necessary times to continue Gretel being accustomed to the crate.
Some IMPORTANT Notes:
🌸 Gretel has been fine with our children, but does need boundaries if she gets too excited so she doesn’t bowl little humans over.
🌸 Gretel is still in the puppy phase and occasionally mouths playfully, but we haven’t had an incident of her biting. She genuinely just wants all the pats and an abundance of playtime.
🌸 Gretel needs a slow introduction to other dogs to ensure they are suitable for her to live with (mainly because of her exciteableness) and an owner dedicated to teaching her appropriate social skills ON A LEASH ONLY while out and about.

You wouldn’t believe that this guy tried to eat me when we first met! We have become fast friends due to our mutual love of balls games & goofing around 😆 *side note-we do train breeds other than Rotties! 😝 but we definitely do know our way around this beautiful breed. ❤️
Naked Obedience-what does that mean? No tools (lead, collar etc) & no motivators (food, ball etc). I really wanted to show what this dog is like in “open” behaviour (just being herself) at the start of the session so that you can see how active she naturally is, before transitioning her to obedience.
