It's nesting season for our native reptiles here in Australia, and already we're seeing the disastrous effects of road strike on unwitting fauna as they try to move across the landscape in search of suitable nesting sites.

This Eastern Bearded Dragon will not lay her eggs this year, or any after, now that she has succumbed to this high speed road.

Keep an eye out while driving. It's not always possible to stop or slow, but awareness of the areas you are travelling through does go a long way in preventing some of these occurrences. Every one counts!
