From another group based in Tea Tree Gully

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everyone know of an incident that occurred today.

I was walking my dog along Beckman Avenue, Highbury and another dog escaped from his lead/collar on his walk and attacked my dog out of know where.

My dog has unfortunately sustained injuries. The owner was unable to control his dogs and when the owner eventually did get his dog back, it happened again. I was not in a position to pick my dog up as he is a medium-large size breed, he was also petrified. Luckily, there were lots of witnesses & I was able to get help.

This is not a negative post towards the owner and it is not intended to shame anyone. It is a timely reminder to everyone that if your dogs have aggressive traits or tendencies please ensure you have the appropriate lead/collar when walking your dogs. It is equally important to know how to control your dog’s behaviour. If you are unable to control your dog then perhaps they should not be going out on walks within the community.

I would also like to say a HUGE thank-you to a beautiful husband/wife who were able to drop me and my dog home after this incident occurred.

I was walking my Assistance Dog at Gaza Sports & Community Club at Klemzig.

This man was walking with his two small dogs off leash they were fluffy, white unsure of the breed.

One of them saw my Assistance Dog and ran up, barked aggressively and growled at my dog, the small dog did this 3 times before we left. The dog was also barking, growling, ran up to people having a picnic and children. The owner did not have any control and even laughed at his dogs behaviour.

It was around 3:40pm this happened not an attack but it was still harassing people, children and my dog. This dog was not under effective control.
