First crate exposure!
First crate exposure! When I change and clean the puppies whelping box each day I need to place them somewhere for a brief time. Now that they are 3 weeks, they’ve grown a bit too big for the usual tub I use, so it’s time to start getting them used to a crate. This was a great first exposure for them. The door was left open the whole time and Tweety voluntarily climbed in to give them a feed. One of the most important things about starting crate exposure is making it a positive place for them where they don’t feel trapped or scared. Crates can be a great safe place for your puppy to sleep at night and a good place for them to retreat to if they are in a busy, louder household where they might get overwhelmed, tired and need a break.
