Hi everyone, just some dates for the next month.
School holidays run from September 27th until 14th of October.

We are looking at our school holiday program dates.
Wednesday 2nd Oct is our horse care program, where you will learn to catch, groom, prepare your pony for riding, and feed your pony 9am-11am
On lead dressage and poles clinic 11.30am-12.30pm

Thursday 3rd October is 9.30am-11.30am off lead dressage and poles clinic
We will also have a volunteer training day and working-Bee from 11.30 am until 1.30 pm, then a lunch will be provided.. information will be at the centre

SUNDAY 13TH OCT WE HOPE TO RUN OUR TRASH & TREASURE FUND-RAISER FOR THE INDOOR COMPLETION

We are still on the hunt for a heavy horse over 16hh, to cater for our taller/bigger riders. Open to any breed, must be quiet, will mainly be used as a led horse walk and some trot. Temprament is paramount. Please in box or email [email protected] or text/ph 0448781600

Another team member has headed home, back to her mum Mandy, thank you Oakie for all the fun times and your precious time helping our riders

Oakie was originally at RDA Barossa for approx 4 years, but joined us at Northern RDA and was with us for 3 years.. Her RDA RIDERS and RDA mum Lisa Whitelaw are going to miss seeing her pretty little face around the centre... But we know you will be enjoying your happy retirement!!

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently declared loneliness to be a pressing global threat. An often overlooked cure for loneliness is volunteering, becoming an Aged Care Volunteer Visitor not only benefits socially isolated older people in the community but also those who volunteer as a ACVVS Volunteer.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is a free service that aims to improve the quality of life for aged care residential or home care recipients who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

ACVVS Volunteers are matched to a recipient with the aim to build a long-lasting relationship which allows the recipient (and the Volunteer) to feel more connected to their wider community. You can volunteer for as little as one hour a fortnight or longer if you need to meet Centrelink requirements.

July dates:

Looking to do a volunteer working bee on Thursday the 18th, due to cancellation last week due to weather.

Term 3 resumes on Monday 22nd of July with Carriage Driving, and Riding resumes Tuesday 23rd.

Fantastic day at Northern today, we finished off term 2 with our break up games day, with 23 riders who enjoyed the great weather.
Special thank you to all the volunteers who helped out today 🥰 your help and support to make these day's happen, is truly wonderful, and EVERY ONE is extremely grateful for your help. To the family's who come and support the riders, thank you, they love having you watch and cheer them on, and thank you to our Judge Emily Jolly we appreciate your help today 🥰
Well that's a big wrap for end of term 2... everyone enjoy the break and we will see you soon! 🐴🦄

Thank you everyone for your wonderful support, we have had offers from far and wide, and very humbled by the supportive response from everyone.
