Had a visit from precious little Lenny and his mum this morning. He and Kiwi are the cutest mirror images of each other with their big white sock and white toes and chest. Not to mention a little tip of white on their tails! Such adorable little siblings!
Both are from Eden and Winston, and both will eventually produce little puppies of their own one day.

**GUARDIAN HOMES WANTED IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA**

We have a few opportunities for guardian homes coming up in the next few months. We are welcoming applicants from prospective families who are willing to work with us and want to help contribute to the ongoing development of this wonderful breed. Some attributes we are looking for in a guardian home:

1. Experience with dogs – Previous experience with dogs, particularly with raising puppies, will be highly regarded.
2. Commitment to training – A guardian home should be willing to invest time in positive reinforcement training and socialization.
3. Stable environment – A stable, loving household that provides consistency and structure for the puppy.
4. Active lifestyle – An active home that can provide physical and mental stimulation, including daily walks, playtime, and socialization with other dogs and people.
5. Suitable living space – A safe, secure home with a fenced yard or access to appropriate outdoor space for exercise and play.
6. Understanding of the breeds needs – Knowledge of the breed’s specific requirements and temperament or a willingness to learn about and meet those needs.
7. Ability to follow breeder’s guidelines – Willingness to listen to the breeder about specific health care and willing to feed a fresh food, highly nutritious diet.
8. Health-conscious – Access to a reputable vet and the ability to provide routine medical care, including vaccinations and any breed-specific health checks.
9. No plans for long-term travel or relocation – Stability in terms of residence to ensure the puppy’s routine and care are not disrupted.
10. Strong communication – Regular, transparent communication with the breeder, including updates on the puppy’s progress and any health or behavioural concerns.
11. Respect for the guardian home agreement – Willingness to respect the terms of the guardian home agreement, including including returning the dog when required for breeding purposes and understanding the contract’s obligations.

At 4 weeks old, these pups are showing stunning and consistent temperaments throughout the litter. Our curriculum ramps up a bit at this age, and they begin to spend less time in their whelping box and more time in different places, being exposed to different sights and sounds. I think we may just need to keep a lovely boy and girl from this litter. They're so lovely!

I'm a bit in love with their soft expressions and lovely eye contact.

Beautiful Kiwi is getting up her socialisation. She has been coming everywhere with us and had her first beach trip today. This stunning girl will be jet-setting to Russia in March to take some lovely new bloodlines to a Cobberdog Breeder over there. She has such a high human focus and even temperament and is a very confident little girl who faces new things with a high sense of curiosity.

These three beauties are all fated to become first-time mums by the years end (hopefully the first half of this year). They each have 1 last hurdle to pass, and that is the pre-breeding check, which includes hip and elbow clearances. This will be completed on the 22nd of January. If all goes well, we will announce their beau's and begin taking expressions of interest for each pairing. We hope to have a range of sizes from miniatures to small standards. Hip scoring is always so nerve-wracking, but the way these girl move, I'm sure they will be absolutely fine!

What a lovely pupdate from Roula and Dali:

"Hey Alana, I just wanted to give you an update on Dali & say thank you. She is definitely the most chill pup ever & such a good dog. Earlier today, we had been moving furniture around her, tidying & she’s just been lying down watching. Then I was doing crochet, skein of yarn next to me, library book on couch, iPad etc, she just relaxes next to me sleeping not bothering with what I’m doing just chilling she’s a super good dog."

While we strive to be ethical breeders by standing by our pups their entire lives and pledging to be responsible for their welfare if their family no longer can, there are many puppies who are still being bred unethically and who end up in shelters and on the kill line due to having no place to call home. Guardian Angel Animal Rescue is one of those organisations who step in when no one else can, or will. They save these souls before it is too late.

The puppies are almost two weeks old, and they are absolutely stunning and so content! When you pick them up, they just melt into your arms—no fuss at all. Bonny continues to prove what an incredible mum she is!

I’ve been receiving an overwhelming number of inquiries about these little ones. Currently, we have three spots available, but I’m taking my time reviewing applications. With the holiday season, children, and caring for these newborns, my time has been stretched thin. While there are still technically three spaces available, our waitlist is already quite full. I will be reviewing applications over the next couple of weeks and will reach out to successful candidates via email or RightPaw.

This gorgeous little boy is black collar boy (littername Lawrence). He will be the 11th pup to leave us from Eden and Winston but is staying with us til the 30th.

He's come back to my house for a bit of environmental socialisation and extra crate training. His family is so excited to meet him, which is totally understandable since he's an absolute love bug!
