The youngest of Archie and Lavinia’s children, Douglas McMillan built a life of quiet strength alongside his wife, Mary. Together, they raised four children and created a home rooted in family and perseverance.

From weathered and worn to respectfully restored. This heritage grave has been carefully restored in line with South Australian conservation guidelines.

We’ve also placed a Memorial Biography Plaque to honour the Lowes’ story, a lasting tribute to two early settlers of our region. Their life story truly deserves to be known by everyone who visits the cemetery.

Every grave restoration we do is a step toward preserving the history woven through The Cemetery on the Hill. Thank you to everyone supporting our initiative.
