We spotted this koala sitting on the road bend, quietly drinking from runoff water while cars sped past. We gently guided it back into the nearby park.

Encounters like this remind us of how closely our natural and built environments intersect. As caretakers of this land, we share it with the wildlife that have always called it home.

Please drive slowly and remain alert. Every small action can help protect our native species.

This hand-drawn map of Noarlunga, dated around 1855, just 19 years after South Australia's colonisation, offers a rare look at the township’s modest beginnings.

Created with ink and watercolour, it reveals the early layout of streets before the town was renamed Old Noarlunga in 1978. While much has changed, there’s comfort in the familiar contours and the enduring charm of our riverside town. It’s a beautiful reminder of how far we've come—and how lucky we are to still call this place home.

A quiet visitor hopping through our grounds this morning is one of the many kangaroos who call this area home. The Cemetery on The Hill isn’t just a resting place for generations past, it’s also a sanctuary for native wildlife.

Please enjoy their presence from a respectful distance and help us keep this place safe for all who visit.
