Flashy is the ultimate horse, she is a fully trained cutting horse, and was shown in the NCHA Futurity in 2016. From there she was trained out as a Reiner, and has NRHA LTE, winning three Derbies. Shes been trained to go down the fence for cowhorse, and has great rate on a cow.

Flashy has been brought back into work ready for her departure. She’s had three fillies for us over the last four years, 2 frozen AI one live cover, including a Dun it For Whizkey, a Gunshy and a Shiners Voodoo Dr.

We are only parting with her as we are retaining her babies. Her three year old DIFW will be shown this year, and we’re starting her second filly now. She will be a producer when these babies hit the show pen, we are really impressed with them.

She’s never been unsound a day in her life, never been injected, is a very good doer (verrry), and came back into work after four years without any drama at all. Doesn’t take hardly any loping at all.

Flashy was a fantastic mother, easy foaler, and is literally a filly machine. She’s was the fifth filly from five foals from her mother Acres Little Chick (full sister to Destinys Mr Chic) and has only produced fillies for us.

Flashy would make a great youth Reiner, green or novice Reiner, a competitive challenge or cowhorse, or could draft. Shes sound, sane, quick footed, cow smart, and broke to death.

She circles well, has a good turnaround, stops like a machine, and changes leads well. Shes super easy to ride, broke one handed in a bridle, and is easy to catch, shoe, float, etc etc.

Flashy loves the beach, the forest, and is comfortable and calm to ride.

She is ready to come ride, can be shown this year, or you still have time to breed her if you decide to go that way.

Can be bred to QP Gunshy while he’s still here if you’re quick.

Gunshy has been a major contender in Open Level 4 competition since he hit the showpen. He consistently scores over 72, and has regularly scored 73, and as high as 74. He is a huge stopper, pretty circler and has a strong turnaround, with fluid lead changes. His accomplishments include

Equitana 2024………horse shows, one thing they don’t tell you, and you learn the only way you can, by experience, is that horseshows are not all guts and glory. A lot of the time, it’s lots of money, hard work, no sleep, and dealing with disappointment.

This was our Equitana this year. Gunshy was categorically NOT going to finish his run in the gruelling arena, and sadly it was over too fast.

Thank you to all our supporters who were in the crowd, to all our sponsors who help us get our horses in the best shape possible, and to the show organisers and sponsors who create these fantastic events. The day belongs to Ashleigh Backhouse, who had a great run, congratulations!!

Biggest thanks to Todd McCormick and Sue for your hospitality, feeding us, letting us stay to prep Gunshy, and making us feel at home, we loved it as always. When a show goes to hell, it’s nice to be able to say, ‘but we had a great time anyway!’

We’ll be back next show, the sun still rises, and a new day dawns. We thank God for giving us this wonderful life and these opportunities to get together with friends and these magnificent horses. Blessed always!

Often I’m asked, how do I get our horses so shiny? Good coats come from within. Good gut health is so crucial in horses. Especially performance horses.

⭐️GVRHA Waterwheel Classic Show⭐️

What a massive week of showing in Tatura. So blessed to start off by winning Co-champion of the Open Derby with Tyler Smith, big congratulations to Tyler and her super mare! Them to finish off in the most incredibly competitive Open class with Champion on a 74.5 was fantastic.
