South Australia’s summer has ended with hardly any rain, devastating communities and farmers across the state.

Adelaide’s extreme dry spell has seen the city records its driest summer in 33 years with just 2.4mm recorded throughout February.

Kangaroo Island’s Kingscote recorded only 0.8mm in January and not a drop in February.

Adelaide's driest summer on record was in 1906 when just 4mm of rain fell.

We have just received stock of a fantastic new product for your garden bed that is lacking nutrients.

Rocky Point’s NEW Manure & Mulch 50L is designed to boost soil health with its microbe-rich, biologically active blend. Made from organic chicken manure, wood chips, wood shavings and ActivGrow which contains gypsum, potash, fish meal, meat meal, zeolite and seaweed - this blend promotes spectacular growth!

Wood chips release carbon for long term soil health, block light to suppress weeds and regulate soil temperature. As the mulch breaks down, it improves soil structure and water retention. Chicken manure and ActivGrow fertiliser prevent nitrogen draw-down, making it perfect for new gardens, vegetable patches, flower and fruiting trees.

☀️☀️ Hi all, we have made the difficult decision to close over the next 2 days (Tuesday 10/2) AND (Wednesday 11/2) as it is going to be scorching hot!! 🔥

As you can imagine it gets very hot in our little old shed and we want to ensure that we keep both our customers and our staff safe.

For any emergency supplies, please message us through Facebook or email and we will monitor regularly.

It looks like there is a welcomed cool change on Thursday and very much look forward to helping you with all your chicken, pet, plant and livestock needs 😊
