Recently we had a visit from ‘Thistle’ and ‘Urchin’, two echidnas that came to our neighbours .

With the help of the team, especially nurses Tash and Lauren, they had thorough health checks and X-rays before going back to their carers to continue their ongoing treatment and care.

We are proud supporters of Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Centre, working closely together to provide free veterinary care to injured, ill and orphaned wildlife. We donate veterinary time, services and of course a whole lot of love! ❤️🐨🥰🦘

Attention all new pet parents! 🐾

Did you know that puppies need a series of 3 vaccines to protect them from some serious and potentially deadly diseases? 💉
Our vaccinations cover against parvovirus, canine hepatitis and distemper virus, as well as infectious canine (kennel) cough and appointments include a veterinary health check too! 🦠

Puppies are typically vaccinated at 6-8 weeks (usually with the breeder) then again at 10-12 weeks and 14-16 weeks to build their immunity.
To reduce the risk of your puppy contracting these diseases, ensure they are up to date with their immunisations by giving us a call at the clinic on (08) 8293 6855 🩵

Meet Miss Daisy 🌼

Daisy came to us recently after an altercation with a brushtail possum. Much to our surprise, the possum came off best and dear Daisy required cleaning and suturing of her wounds.

After a short general anaesthetic, some antibiotics, a lot of TLC from Dr Alex, she was back home with her mum and hopefully she’ll think twice before squaring up to our native wildlife 🐾🩺

Does your doggo have a BFF?

Dogs with best friends prefer to stay close to their bestie, they might even ignore other dogs and tend to play more, or spend more time in general, with their dog best friend. They might be willing to share their toys, bed, water bowl and just their space in general. Sometimes they might even be willing to share their favorite treats or food, but that is not always the case. Some dogs can have BFFs, but can still be reluctant to share something they value highly (don’t we all!)

Keep in mind that BFFs might not be other dogs, it might be your cat, rabbit or even bird. In fact, you could be your dog’s best friend 💕

Will all be closing early from 5pm on Friday 31st May.
For many years our team has supported "Variety - The Children's Charity" through fundraising for the
SA Variety Bash.
This year, we have continued our support and also rewarded our Team with tickets to The Variety Annual Ball.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but we will be closing the clinic early on this night so our Team can attend the Ball.
We will be available again as normal from 8:30am

The Plympton Vet Clinic will be CLOSED from: Saturday 23rd Dec and will reopen Tues Jan 2nd.
If you have any medications or prescription diets to collect, we will still be available today and tomorrow until 7pm. 🎅🤶
Boarding staff will still be attending to all our lovely Christmas boarders every day and will be available at the side gate for all admissions and discharges. 🐶🐾
If you require veterinary attention, please contact our colleagues at the Marion Animal Hospital who will be available every day through the Christmas break with the exception of Christmas Day (see below for opening hours).

Dear valued clients,

The city of West Torrens will be undertaking Road works on Lincoln Avenue from Tuesday 5th September to Friday 8th September next week from 7am till 5pm.

At certain times during the day Lincoln Avenue will be closed.

Clients are welcome to use the parking facilities at the Adelaide Koala and Wildlife Centre, which is adjacent to the Plympton clinic on Anzac Highway.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please be advised from Easter Saturday, the Plympton Vet Clinic will temporarily be
CLOSED ON SATURDAYS
Our staff will still be available for consults though our sister clinic, the Marion Animal Hospital in Mitchell Park (8277 3733).

Our boarding facilities will be staffed and operating as normal & we will be notifying upcoming Saturday boarding clients of revised hours.
Boarding admissions and collections will be available through the side gate on Lincoln Ave:
SATURDAYS 8:30am - 11am

SUNDAYS/PUBLIC HOLIDAY 9am-10am & 4pm-5pm as normal
