Amazing weekend for Jessica and Bek at this year's Royal Adelaide Show!

Bek placed 1st in Asian Styling with Coco the Moodle, 1st in Salon Styling with Ollie the Bichoodle, and 1st in Poodles with Poppy the Toy Poodle for her level.

Jess placed 2nd in Terrier with Fin the Scottish Terrier, 1st in Salon Styling with Gucci the Moodle, and 1st, Best in Group, and Best in Show in Gundog with Zorro the English Cocker Spaniel.

I could not be prouder of these girls and the work they have put into their grooming. They are both amazing groomers and a huge asset to The Hairy Hound.

A massive thank you to each of the owners for allowing their babies to be used for the competition and trusting us enough to take them for such a long time, this would not be possible without you.

Jess and Amy have been busy over the weekend competing and being assessed at The Pet Show. Not only were they competing, but they also had many wonderful clients that allowed interstate groomers to give their dogs a makeover.

Jess placed 1st and Runner up Best in Show with her model dog, Leonard, who can be seen in the salon reception. She also placed 3rd in Gundog with a lovely English Cocker Spaniel, Zorro, and she successfully passed her master assessment in short-legged Terrier.

Amy placed 1st in Terriers with her little man and salon doorbell, Haddock. Also successfully passed her master assessment in long-legged terrier with him. Amy also competed in Gundog and placed 3rd with the sweet English Cocker Spaniel, Harry.

We are very appreciative that so many of our clients trust us with their babies in allowing not only ourselves but other interstate groomers to compete with them. We only allow groomers we know to treat their dogs with the utmost care and compassion, and this shows with the many placings they accomplished.

As groomers we strive to continually educate ourselves to help our clients.

Yesterday our salon was closed as both Jess and Amy attended a handstripping seminar in Melbourne with a world renowned groomer from America, Scott Wasserman.

Jess competed today in Melbourne, placing first in her class, handstripping Zorro the English Cocker. We thank his owner, Vicky for allowing Jess to travel with her gorgeous boy. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jess!

Unfortunately, due to a loss of income from cancellations and rescheduling, we are forced to update our policy. This loss of income makes it hard to keep our business open to serve our other clients in the long term with the same level of knowledge, products, and services.

Those that CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE their appointments on a REOCCURING BASIS will be required to PAY UPFRONT AT TIME OF BOOKING. This will be NON-REFUNDABLE.

🏝️⛴️ We Are On Holidays ⛴️🏝️

The Hairy Hound will be closed from the 30th September to 23rd October as Amy and Jess are going on a Cruise for a well deserved holiday!

We will not be able to answer the phone or to any phone messages during this time. We may be able to intermittently answer Facebook and Instagram messages. So please send us a DM and we will get to it when we can.
