Taking a moment to write down in a few words of where we came from to where we are heading.
Rampid Boxers is made up of a hard working family of five who has a crazy passion for everything Boxer. I put our success down to this fact. No one can equal the drive we have to insure the betterment of the breed as we do!
We boast to have the highest awarded Boxer bitch in the history of Boxers within Australia to date, Australian Champion Rampid’s Breakaway aka Tabitha. Tabitha’s major wins was winning the prestigious Adelaide Royal Show beating over 3500 dogs and winning the 13th Boxer National. We are also lucky enough to have the oldest living Boxer amongst all Boxer breeders in South Australia. To my knowledge no other boxer breeder can come close to claiming the same in my past 20 years of owning Boxers.
On a personal note I was also co-owner of Tatanger Boxers before Denise & myself established Rampid Boxers. After a falling out with my partner at Tatanger over a disagreement when Aust Gr Ch Claudia Schiffer also winner of the Adelaide Royal gave birth to 6 beautiful white puppies and having my kennel partner euthanise all of the puppies purely because of colour. Claudia had one red surviving puppy from that litter Tatanger Miss Bossy Boots AKA Wendy... quite a fitting name actually. Claudia did live with us for a while longer but at 5 yrs my partner in the kennel had no use in her any longer and placed her in a home. I’m pro life and couldn’t go on with the partnership with choices I was being forced to live with. Ethically I had to stand up for my beliefs. This is the reason we moved away from the coastal property we had at Brighton on a suburban block to a luxurious property north of Adelaide where we have plenty of room for the boxers run free on the acreage and in temperature controlled facilities to keep them warm or cool all year round. I’m lucky enough not to just discard my dogs like other breeders when they have fulfilled their obligation. In fact they have no obligation at home with us and if they are put into the show ring or bred from they live out there natural life here at home with us. We don’t believe it’s ethical to breed from dogs in a suburban home without proper facilities nor to re-home Mum or Dad once their breeding life is over.
