✨ Behind the Scenes Update ✨

As you know, we love keeping things as transparent as possible, so here’s a little update!

We’re excited to say we are finally up to date with our intake forms and MoeGo text messages—yay! 🎉 However, it was recently brought to my attention that we had missed a few pages of intake forms from nearly two years ago. A huge thank you to the kind people who reached out and let us know! I’ve now gone through them all and hopefully replied to everyone.

The only forms I didn’t respond to were for clipping breed requests from two years ago. As stated on our intake form and across our socials, we are not accepting new clipping breed clients. We truly appreciate the support, but our focus remains on double-coated breeds. That said, I did reply to all clipping breed inquiries from the last six months.

I also noticed that some of the pups in these older requests were seniors. Out of respect, I wanted to be mindful when responding, just in case your beautiful companion is no longer with us. However, I did respond to all senior dog inquiries with care and kindness. Please know that if your beloved pup has since crossed the rainbow bridge, my heart is with you. ❤️

My sincerest apologies for missing so many amazing intake forms. I completely understand if you’ve since found a new groomer, but I couldn’t let this go unrecognized. If you are still waiting on a response, please don’t hesitate to let us know!

Keep Your Double-Coated Dog Healthy & Happy!

It's that time of year! Your dog's summer coat is shedding, and their winter coat is coming in. Regular brushing is great, but fine-tooth combing is the real game changer!

✅ Comb through their full coat at least once a week – all the way down to the skin.
🚫 Avoid blades – they can damage the hair!
🐕 Neglecting regular combing can lead to:
❌ Matting & compacted hair
❌ Overheating or trouble regulating body temperature
❌ Skin sensitivities & discomfort

💡 Pro tip: Always comb before AND after your dog gets wet for best results!

Your pup will thank you with a shiny, healthy coat and lots of tail wags!

😅 Alrighty, the weather is up to its tricks again!

🐾 At this point, grooms on Friday, Feb 21st, are ok- we will be monitoring closely & will check in with everyone currently booked. Each dog reacts to the heat differently. It's incredibly important we do the right thing by the dogs & not push them in the heat.

😮‍💨 Saturday, Feb 22nd appointments. That's a different story. For those booked on, you can either wait to see if the weather drops below 35 degrees or we can reschedule now to a WEEK DAY only 😅 Please note that some dogs will need to reschedule if the temperature stays in the mid 30s as they are will be too hot to be groomed.

🐾 Order this week. Just in case the weather on Ftiday increases, let's play it safe. Orders will close this week, Monday, Feb 17th, and be delivered Wednesday, Feb 19th.

💌 What does this mean for admin? It means bookings will be delayed again. We need to first organize the current bookings affected by the weather. Then, we can continue to book in our existing canine pals for their pampering.

Attention all 🐾

Due to the extreme heat, we may not be able to operate on Monday Feb 10th, Tuesday Feb 11th, and Wednesday Feb 12th. Please keep an eye out for updates via text messages and our social media posts. We will need the temperature to drop below 35°C for us to reopen.

We’ve been closed this week due to the heat, and admin tasks are on hold for now. Dogs already booked in will take priority, so if any rescheduling is needed, they will be our focus.

🌼 Recently, Groomer Tara & her besties Kerry & Zara traveled interstate to conqour the Dog Shows. They took their squad, Teal'c & Kenzie the Alaskan Mamutes & Juju the Shikoku.

They returned with a new addition to the pack! Mr Suko, the Shiba Inu puppy. To say we are obsessed would be an understatement 😆

If you are visiting the salon, you may hear Suko sing us the songs of his people while he hangs out at FnS HQ during his training. We aren't complaining. Suko is a lovely pup & a great addition to the fam 💜

📢 HOT WEATHER POLICY 📢

Hi FnS pals,
Monday, February 3rd & and Tuesday, February 4th, are predicted to be 38 degrees & 40 degrees. If this is the case, the salon will be unfortunately closed & all appointments will be rescheduled.

Messages have been scheduled to go out to all those currently booked in at 7 am. today.

Rescheduling these current appointments is priority number 1 admin wise.

On a separate note. For those who are waiting to hear back from us- we are actually making great progress with the admin 🥳 it won't be long before everyone who has text messaged through our booking system is responded to. Please remember, we reply to the oldest texts first & we do not use messenger on any social media platforms.

📢 Next years bookings are open! We will be closed Dec 24th and re opening Monday January 6th 2025!

Please bare with us as we take your bookings, particularly those who book the year in advance, as it's a lengthy task. We do very much appreciate those who do book the year in advance. It is so nice knowing our beautiful canine pals won't miss out on their parlour days.

As you know, we had a price increase at the beginning of this NFY. For those that were already prebooked, we were able to offer a 10% discount for the remaining bookings. As this year we have had a 44% increase in the shops rent, we are unable to offer that same promotion again.

Here is the new, updated price list that we rolled out last year.

Not all breeds are mentioned, as amazing as they all are - there are just too many 😅

Not sure how to book? Current clients since Oct 2021 please text 0488 855 459- like we usuly do. Once we have our current clients in we will asses if we can take new clients. New clients, please fill out the intake form pinned to the top of our social media pages. If we open the books up to new clients, it still will only be fore deshedding breeds only.

Please note- Saturdays are not open for new clients. Unless your dog is already on our Saturday schedule, it is very unlikely that we will be able to accommodate you on a Saturday.

Our opening hours remain the same.
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri & Sat 7am to 2:30pm.
The first Saturday of every month we are closed.

🚨 Weather Policy Reminder 🚨

😔 It's looking to be a crazy week of hot weather & thunderstorms.

🔥 If the temperature is 36 degrees & over we will contact you to reschedule your appointment. We may also reschedule if we have had multiple hot days in a row & 1 the shop hasn't cooled down or 2 we think your dog may not handle the temperature well.
This is non negotiable.

🌞 Warm weather. Please don't exercise your dog before a groom on a hot day. We are finding dogs are coming in already exhausted and showing early signs of heat stress. We appreciate you trying to burn off some energy before the groom but it's ok. We would rather a boisterous dog then a dog who's health is at risk.

⛈ Storms. If your dog is storm sensitive/reactive please let us know so we can reschedule the groom. Signs of storm sensitivities/reactivity can include but not limited to; panting, salivating, dilated pupils, pacing, frantic behaviour, self harm, destructive behaviour, vocalisation, seeming needy ect.
If you bring your dog in knowing they are starting to react we will send you home & you will be charged for the full price of the groom.

📖 A friendly reminder of our cancellation policy. If we have rescheduled your groom due to the weather & you then can't make the new time- please let is know they day before hand during business hours 7am to 230pm. Late cancellations will still be charged the full price of the groom. If you give us notice we can reschedule the day so you won't be charged. Chances are we will be working over time so your pup doesn't miss out on the groom, it is incredibly frustrating to then be messed around.

💙 Hudson 💙

Words truly can't express the amazing work Hudson & his family have done for Hudson's grooms.

Hudson went from the dog that needed to be bribed down the street to then be carried into the salon to the dog banging at the door demanding his entry.

From the dog who absolutely despised the bath and wasn't afraid to let us know. To now loving every minute of the bath.

Hudson was the kinda guy that needed to be muzzled for majority of the groom, now he just hangs back & smiles- no muzzle.

He was no saint for his at home grooms either. This guy had jokes. Now, thanks to so much dedication by his family he can now be fully combed at home with ease.

Hudson's family went the distance- they taught him to walk on different leads, they love teaching Hudson his obedience, they travel a distance for Hudson's frequent grooms over the years. Adding additional grooms purely to help Hudson learn to love the process. They have really killed it!

We are so so proud of team Hudson! Thank you so much for trusting our process! You guys rock 💪

About Us

Fluff n Stuff focuses on the de-shedding of large, double coated, dogs. Clipping is available, only to appropriate breeds. We are an appointment based salon. Clipping is available selected Monday's & Saturday's. De-sheds are available Monday - Saturday & selected Sunday's. Monday - Thursday after hours appointments may be available. Clips are not available after hours.

Appointments range from 1-3hours. Timing is different for every dog as we work at the dogs pace, to ensure every pup has the most relaxing experience possible. Our focus is to be a 1 on 1 salon, in which it is just the groomer & 1 families dogs at any given time. All dogs must be up to date with their current vaccination or provide an equivalent (titre test). Proof must be shown on booking.
