At the Old Reynella Veterinary Clinic we offer friendly and personalised service from a team of professional and experienced Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses. Specialising in preventative care for your four-legged friend, we offer a variety of services including consultation; emergency and critical care; routine desexing for dogs, cats and pocket pets; orthopaedic surgery; ultrasound; radiology

; dentistry; microchipping; and in-house laboratory. We stock an extensive range of super premium dog foods, and prescription diets; have an in depth knowledge on the safest and most effective flea and worming control, including heartworm prevention. We also stock a large range of soap-free shampoos and conditioners, including South Australia’s own Champion Tails; dental health support and specialised companion care products and toys. By having a smaller staff base, we strive to build and maintain personal relationships with all of our clients, while maintaining the highest level of care for your companions.

We are now taking bookings for Puppy School 2025!!!
TUESDAY 8th April
Time : 7:15pm
Ages : 8-14 weeks old
Teacher: Kylie
Duration : 5 Weeks
Payment: Must be paid upon booking
The aim of Puppy Preschool® classes are to :
Socilaise puppies with other puppies and people in a safe and controlled situation
Teach basic force free, reward based training methods
Identify any behavioural problems at an early age
Teach and reward puppies for ( calm ) behaviour
Educating Owners on :
Normal puppy development
Body language
Dog behaviour
Basic health care
Common puppy problems
Environmental enrichment
Guide puppies to develop into well behaved and socially acceptable companions.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: PET MICROCHIPPING

Microchip Pet Registry company, HomeSafeID, will soon cease to operate. This means if your pet's microchip is registered with HomeSafeID, you will need to change your microchip registration to another company Once HomeSafe ID ceases to operate, vet clinics and the council will NOT be able to access your details to reunite you with your pet should they go missing/be found.
If you know your pets microchip number, you can enter the number at petaddress.com.au This will tell you which registry your pet is registered to - if it is HomeSafe ID or you do not get a listing, we suggest either using Australasian Animal Registry, Central Animal Records OR Global Micro Animal Registry (who are currently offering those clients affected to change over for free, as long as the owner details are the same)

If you don’t know your pets microchip number - not to worry. Just give the clinic a call and we can arrange for you and your pet to pop in for us to scan your pets microchip number. We can then ensure your details are up to date or advise if you need to do anything further.

It is important to note that most animals adopted through a rescue may have used HomeSafeID. Even if your animal is not registered with HomeSafeID it is a good opportunity to check your pets microchip details are up to date.

Ensure you keep your animals safe, by

* Keeping them secure, ideally inside with all external gates locked.

* Ensure they are wearing their up to date ID tag and their
microchip details are correct.

* Provide a safe area for them with toys to keep them entertained
and a radio or tv to provide background noise.

If you are travelling tonight, please be careful on the roads for scared animals, including escapee dogs, cats and native wildlife.
