Hello, our names are Percy and Violet, and we could be your perfect package. Because we come as a package deal.

We are a 10-year-old bonded pair who are looking to see out our twilight years in our forever home. But don’t be fooled by our ages – because we can prove to you that age is just a number. We are a lively pair, who like to do things together. We have lived together with each other for all our lives and we cannot wait to start our next chapter with you. Well, let’s tell you a bit about ourselves.

I’m Percy, and I am such a happy and affectionate little dog! I do show bursts of energy at times, particularly when I try and run up and jump onto the sofa. I sound a bit like a pig with my grunting as I bound towards my favourite spot – being with my humans snuggling. But sometimes I need some help to get up onto the sofa because of my small legs! I sometimes may have the odd accident in the house, but if you walk out with me as I do my business then I will go no problem! I’m not too bothered about playing with toys. I prefer to watch Violet play with the toys!

Hello, I’m Violet. I have really come out of my shell since I’ve been with Scruffer Lovers. You may have seen the makeover picture of ourselves, I feel like a new pooch now! As Percy said, I love to play with toys, particularly stuffed, squeaky toys! I like to get in there and show that toy whose boss. Sometimes I pull out the stuffing, but I love playing with what’s left of the toy! I’m sometimes quiet at first, but once I get to know my people, I shower them with love and affection. I have such long legs and you will hear me clipping away as I run up and land on the sofa next to you. If you’re going to give me a tummy rub, then I am down for that all day long! I can be a little nervous going for walks, but if I have Percy by my side then he really calms me.

We have been living with other dogs and we get on OK, but we would prefer to be the only dogs in our new home. Percy is not fond of cats although Violet isn’t bothered by them at all! So, what do you say? Could we be the perfect pair for your family?

All seven puppies have now been located and returned to their owner following the alleged theft of the litter last week.

The puppies — described as pit bull crosses — disappeared between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon after a break-in at a home on Lyle Street at Morphett Vale.

The alleged thief was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and theft, and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court next month.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH BE THE CHANGE ANIMAL SHELTER INC- Noah (male) and Carna (female) 6 year old Alaskan malamute pair are looking for a loving forever home through no fault of their own unfortunately one of their owners passed away recently. This pair is just gorgeous they absolutely love water and playing in a clam shell full of water. They are great with children but because of their large size children over the age of 6 would be best suited to them. They walk well on the lead after some initial excitement pulling. They also travel well in the car. They are NOT suitable for a home with other cats, birds or other small pets. They also have not been well socialised to other dogs and much prefer the company of one another. Carna is food possessive so the dogs need to be fed separately. They want to be involved in everything that’s going on especially Noah he is a bit of a shadow. These guys have spent their entire lives outdoors we are hoping to change that, they would love nothing more than a household that has an open door policy so they would be welcomed both in and out. If you don’t want to let your dog inside get a lawn ornament instead. They require a home with secure fencing. They howl when they hear emergency service sirens but asides from that are rarely vocal unless Noah is trying to get his point across over something. These two are so loveable they would be a wonderful addition to a loving family. Breed experience is preferable. Adoption fee $600 for the pair. Such a beautiful story!!!

A MAGICAL ending to the story from last night. At the Oscars I reconnected with my friend, John Travolta. We starred together in the movie PERFECT back in 1984. I had already left the Dolby theater last night after honoring Betty White and was on my way home when someone texted me a photo of John holding little mac & cheese in the green room before his presentation of the best actor Oscar. I thought it was so beautiful to see him with her and then today I found out that he and his son, Ben have adopted beautiful little mac & cheese and are taking her home today. It is an emotional end and a perfect tribute to Betty White and it shines a light and AMPLIFIES the message that heroes who, like Betty, and Chad from Paw Works] and Nancy from and the team at and the hundreds of thousands of other rescues, who love and support ANIMALS, that rescuing animals and offering them shelter from the storm of life and a warm and loving home is one of life's most important actions we humans can take!
